Pelagic brewing is now partnering with The amazing Comida KIN. Mary Hatz and Rodrigo Huerta are fabulous chefs serving farm to table, fresh and delicious real food!! They have only been with Pelagic about 5 weeks as of Dec. 5, 2025. Please give them a try!! We did and we will definatley be back. The food was fresh and flavorful with an eclectic approach to american and mexican quisine. I had the soup, salad and cornbread and requested to have a little chorizo added to my squash-carrot soup. Every bite was so delicious! My husband had the burger with fries and loved his meal as well. The pelagic beers were also a great pairing with our meals. They have plenty of gf, vegan and vegetarian options.
Read about them and Pelagic on Pelagic’s website and then go support them. Let’s keep them in town!

Wow! Comida KIN has done it. Everything they make is grown, raised, sourced from local organic food and layered together perfectly. I had the chicken soup, and my soul was warmed the whole night. Fresh, seasonal, made with love. Yum!!

One of the most underrated spots in Forest Grove! The atmosphere is chill and relaxing, the food and drinks, great. The service is always personalized and sincere. Not to mention a pint and tacos for $16!

The food, WOW! The prices are so incredibly great at a time when every restaurant is overcharging for crappy food and smaller servings. This evening I ordered a plate of vegetarian enchiladas with mole sauce and the serving size was huge, the quality was incredible and the price was $14. So, so fresh! It’s my favorite restaurant in this area and I cannot recommend it enough!

This taphouse was right in town as well as its local brewery, and I was told I had to try it.
One, it was a very clean and family oriented environment. It reminded me of a ship, and it was very cool.
The head brewer was there and was as knowledgeable as they came. He knew every flavor profile like the back of his hand was very friendly, and so was my bar tender!
I had the…
– Yankees clipper IPa (light with smooth hops)
– Christina’s docking juice (light and smooth)
– Seven seeds midnight blue dragon (sweet, one of the best ciders i have ever tried)
For lunch I had…
– The Grove Panini (Cured ham, arugula, gruyere) which is a simple dish but was excellent and tasted fantastic, was served with chips!
Thank you for a great lunch!

I finally got around to stopping in to try this place. I was a big fan of Ridgewalker brewing, and love the location. I ordered the steak bites and a Powerhouse Dry from Bull Run Cider. I’m happy Pelagic Brewing is still partnering with some of my local favorites. The steak bites were great, tender cuts covered in a nice demi-glace, served on a bed of fries. The fries were actually my favorite. I don’t know if it was the demi-glace from the steak, or something else. But I kept going back to the fries for another salty hit of umami goodness. It was almost too much, I needed respite, something to counter the steak bites. I found it in the tart and dry Powerhouse. A perfect balance to the rich and hearty steak bites. Next time I might order the steak bites as an appetizer to share, and try more of their menu.

I ordered a burger here not too long ago, and it was delicious, aromatic, and piping hot. The staff was lovely and attentive to us, and the atmosphere was very cozy and warm. The tables and overall interior were beautiful, I 100% recommend you come here if you are in the area, so worth it.

My wife and I wandered in last night (12/5) and were amazed at the unique “PNW Mexican cuisine” available! We are so happy to have found this dining opportunity now available in Forest Grove. And the Pelagic beers paired well! Please visit and support Pelagic and Comida KIN!! My only suggestion is more counter help. While very friendly the line to order food and beverages can be a bit slow.

The squash soup is unbelievably delicious! Nice people, too, and beer selection is good. Lots of interesting items on the menu, but I can’t get past the squash soup. Did I mention how good the squash soup is?
