The location is at Sligh and Habana – beside a Chevron fuel station but do not let that deter you from checking out Mangonadas Mexican Kitchen.
Cesar was very friendly during both of my visits – speaks English and Spanish.
My first visit was on 10.05.2025 and I had chicken fajitas – absolutely loved!!! My second visit was on 10.15.2025 and I had 2 chicken tacos and 1 carnitas taco ~~ corn tortillas ~~ fabulous!!! The complimentary salsa roja and salsa verde are delicious! The freshly made tortilla chips and house salsa/house guacamole are an additional fee; which was fine by me because I loved the salsa and guacamole!! The chicken for the fajitas and the tacos was full of flavor and white meat chicken breast. This is my spot now in Tampa-area for Mexican food – hands down!!! Hidden gem that I will share with everyone because the food was amazing! They also offer desserts too like a banana split that is calling my tastebuds!!
DEC 2025 — STILL FABULOUS!!!
JAN 2026 — Brought my niece (15) for the Thursday special of Three Birria tacos for $10.99 and she absolutely loved them!
It is in a gas station, there are only a few tables, it felt dirty, the “server” that we had didn’t seem to know much (asked for a kids cup of water, there was lots of back and forth on how to accommodate that, asked for just a cheese quesadilla instead of chicken or steak(for the kids).. had to go ask if they could do that.. apparently to do just cheese meant we had to get fries instead of the rice and beans that come with the steak/chicken quesadilla.. and after all that we were still charged for a steak quesadilla)… the burrito that my husband got looks so plain and sad.. I had the quesabirria tacos which were okay, but I’ve had much much better at other places. I was excited about their homemade chips, but those were a disappointment too, still doughy and the oil had a horrible taste.
Overall, it wasn’t good. At all. We won’t be back.
