Best sushi in the area. Fish is very clean tasting with firm texture. Its not slimy or mushy. Its cool but not cold, the presentation is always great. We never have to wait long for a table. Wait staff is very friendly but after taking your order can dissappear for a bit. Place is usually quiet. If owner Peter is behind the bar, look out, you are in for a good time.

the prices here are OUTRAGEOUSLY good compared to other places that drive their prices up because of inflation. Our waitress was extremely attentive without being excessive and was timely with all of our food! really excellent service overall and the food we got was absolutely delicious. the atmosphere is honestly gorgeous and this place is such a hidden gem.

The food was great. We did the hibachi experience and my main complaint is the performance part felt very crass. My kid was a little shy, and the chef kept teasing him trying to get him to engage or laugh, which was painful to watch. He even called my 10 year old “sexy boy” more than once. Which feels like an obvious problem. I’m unlikely to go back even though everyone else was very nice. Hopefully they see this and take it to heart.

Always dependably good, this family destination for the last 17 years. It’s a little dark in there and the carpet is sombre but the sushi and beef tataki and miso soup and lunch boxes and pretty much everything are always good and the prices are reasonable. Generally fast and always friendly service. Back again in May of 2025 and dependably good and reasonable prices.

We love coming here! Definitely come more than we should just because of the atmosphere. David is the best chef in the area, very funny and personable, and everyone else they have is great too. They include noodles as part of the meal and everything is delicious!

This was our first time at Yume for an impromptu date night and I was so impressed. We have been looking for a good local hibachi spot. The food was perfect. I got scallops and usually at other places they are overcooked but they were perfection at yume!!!!! We of course got a scorpion bowl which was so tasty and were treated to some hot Saki as well. Looking forward to coming back with friends to enjoy a fun hibachi show and great meal!!!

David is exceptional, one of the best chefs I’ve ever had the pleasure of making me food. However, me and my group had made a reservation for 8:15pm, we arrived and immediately were told we would have to wait, after 15 minutes we were seated. We did not get our drink orders taken until a half hour later, and didn’t receive our drinks for an other 15. We sat for about an hour before we saw our food, the second David arrived things were great and we tipped him directly when he was finished. As soon as he left a waitress who was not ours started demanding we tip her and got out a calculator and started calculating her tip (that she did not earn). She ended up taking the money we tipped David when we refused to tip her since she wasn’t our waitress and because we waited an hour and a half. I’ve had nothing but great experiences in the past with Yume but what me and my friends experienced tonight is no way to treat paying guests with a reservation.
