A great hot pot joint! Hot Spot has has a wide variety of foods, sauces, and broths, all of which are great quality. The drinks are especially good, and they even have BOGO and B3G1 deals! Also, the staff are really exceptional and hospitable. A must-try experience in NoVa!

The worst part was management. The manager showed no concern, took no accountability, and still expected us to tip after all of this. There was no apology, no effort to correct the situation just entitlement.
I am a regular customer and this experience was terrible. We were seated at a dirty table and repeatedly given dirty utensils, even after clearly asking for clean ones more than once. Clean silverware is a basic necessity especially when serving soup.
The drinks were poorly made, and we were not informed that required garnishes were unavailable until after the drinks arrived. Had we been told, we would have ordered something else. That is a basic failure in communication.
We were then pressured to leave a tip by both the server and the manager despite the poor service. The server loudly complained to the manager about not receiving a tip, as if public confrontation was supposed to change our minds. It did the opposite. I really didn’t care I really just laughed about it and thought about the entitlement of this area. I asked my husband should I tell her merry Christmas lol maybe that’ll make her feel better as if I cared just like she didn’t care about our service
The manager took no accountability. Instead of addressing the dirty table, dirty utensils, bad drinks, or the attitude, she still expected a tip. She claimed we could have been moved to another table, which is irrelevant there was no reason to believe that would improve anything when we couldn’t even get clean silverware.
Tips are earned through cleanliness, professionalism, and basic service standards not demanded after repeated failures.
The owner needs to do a better job hiring people who are competent, understand accountability, and know what real customer service looks like and hard work actually mean. Merry Christmas to the Entitled big Rude women ( the manager and the server) last but not least don’t prioritize preparing fresh garnishes for your friends at the bar instead of the paying customers yet another failure in self-awareness Yes, hon, I heard you how slow can you be?
And for your FYI, I worked in a restaurant before, and I would’ve never given horrible customer service in the asked for a tip. zero professionalism, zero accountability, pure entitlement and stupidity and I feel like a visit from the health department wouldn’t hurt either✌️

We had such an incredible experience at Hot Spot! As first-timers to the hot pot style of dining, we were a little unsure of where to start, but our server was absolutely amazing, guiding us through the process with patience and enthusiasm.
The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and cozy, perfect for a chilly day. The meats were incredibly fresh, and the broths were packed with rich, savory flavors. The vegetables were also super fresh, adding a wonderful balance to our meal.
The highlight of our experience was ordering the whole lobster , it was such a unique and memorable treat! We also couldn’t resist trying their adorable holiday-themed drinks, which were as delicious as they were festive.
Everything about this visit was amazing, from the food to the service to the atmosphere. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy another delicious meal here. Highly recommend Hot Spot to anyone looking for a fun and flavorful dining experience!

This place is my go to for hot pot. The wait staff are friendly and give excellent service! It’s fun to have the fresh food they bring to you as you order to put in your very own pot . The sauce bar is one of the best around with all the ingredients for your own mix. If not, you can have the already made and yummy sesame seed or spicy house sauce. I bring my friends to enjoy this great place when we want hot pot! Great place with great food to enjoy with great friends!

I had a great time at this hotpot place! The food was delicious, and I especially loved how many sauce options they had at the sauce bar — so many flavors to mix and match. One of the highlights for me was that they had beef tongue on the menu, which is not easy to find and was really tasty.

This is a fantastic place to try new things. My partner tried so many different meats and I tried new veggies!!
Everyone can cook in separate broth or together so it’s great for food allergies and restrictions.
The staff is super friendly and helpful.
I know I can choose different options on my next visit so I’m not stuck getting the same dish every time. This is so exciting!!
My only negative is that the mixed cocktails are mediocre. I would love to see (or… I guess taste) better quality ingredients in the cocktails!
Anyway, we will be back as we REALLY enjoyed the food!!

My friends and I had such a great time dining at Hot Spot! I wish I got our server’s name because he elevated our experience overall, he was so warm, welcoming, helpful and friendly! He gave us his recommendations and even made his own special sauce creation.
We had 4 orders of three all you can eat special and we had about 5 to 6 rounds! The meats and seafood were our favorites. The tongue, the beefs, the pork belly and the marinated pork were our personal favorites.
I ordered the spicy pot and it had the perfect level of spice, but you can ask for extra spicy if you like!
Definitely try out the Milkis Trash Can cocktail!

Great hot pot experience! The ingredients were very high quality and super fresh, and everything cooked almost instantly in the broth. Our server Lia was very attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. Excellent food and service, would definitely come back.
