My family has been coming to O’Bryan’s for years and years and we’ve always believed it was the best fish in the city. HOWEVER it’s only gotten better with the most recent ownership. The fish is a full 1-2” thick, perfectly battered, and freshly fried. The waffle fries are seasoned and magically crispy. This is the 2 piece platter minus one identical piece of fish and two slices of rye bread. I always thought I didn’t like waffle fries but it was because I had never had O’Bryan’s. Beer is ice cold! The service is outstanding and friendly. The interior has been cleaned up and refreshed a lot. We are so fortunate to have this gem in the south end.

Fish platter is a good value. The fish is actually better than I remembered from years past. Coleslaw is awesome and the fries were good too. Wish they’d throw hush puppies in there as well but I’m sure they’re good too. Def a hidden gem. And they take credit now which is nice.

Best fish in town, onion rings, mushrooms and the dressed burger were all delicious. I could eat this food everyday. Cold beer and alcohol are served here as well. Our server Trish was on spot as well. She was right back with everything we ask for. Everything was absolutely perfect ❣️

It was an over all horrible experience from starting with the ordering and being hung up on to repeatedly calling cause we got to him taking my name process order taken was not right even after having to call 2 times then actually walking out with cold food due to missing half the order. They only accept cash which keeps the money you’re truly making uncountable for the irs kinda odd in todays time. The fish I got should have never left that kitchen and the mayo in the Tatar tasted as though it has soured. I grew up on DOE RUN this place was a go to for my family I am so upset.

The Fish was Exceptional. We took our family here for dinner on a Saturday. It was our first visit to O’Bryan’s Tavern. The dining area is separated from the bar area. I was impressed with the menu options. Both of my kids easily picked their meals. I went for the fish. I had heard it was good…it was outstanding. Everything was Hot and Fresh. The music was loud enough that you could hear it and sing along, but low enough that you could still hold a conversation.

The food was good. The fish could have cooked a little longer. It was still a little cold on the inside. I only ate a little and finished the fries. I took the rest home and microwaved it, and it was excellent. My wife had the bean soup, and it was awesome. The service was the best. The atmosphere was good. All in all, it was a good dinner.
