Austin Daily Press is East Austin’s go-to spot for scratch-made tortas, tacos, and rice bowls with bold Texas flavors and global flair. Since 2009, we’ve evolved from a downtown trailer into a cult-favorite restaurant known for creative sandwiches like the Canadian Tuxedo and DeVille. Our fast-casual menu features locally baked Telera rolls, plant-based options, and chef-crafted sauces-served fresh daily. Whether you’re grabbing lunch, ordering delivery, or planning catering for 20 to 300, ADP delivers crave-worthy food without the fuss.
Buzzy joint serving creative gourmet sandwiches in a no-frills setting with picnic-table seating.

1. everything was over fried/greasy. When food is this greasy, no ingredient can shine through and the also food becomes too heavy to finish.
2. For vegetarians: Same item re-packaged three ways: the edamame fried patty in all different forms–but again greasy and tasteless
3. Value/taste/price ratio off: way too expensive for foodservice store type food.
Don’t think I would come back given all the other options in ATX
Great options for vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free.
My personal favorites so far are the jalapeño hush puppies, Brussel sprouts, dirty horchata, and the chicken tortilla soup & sourdough grilled cheese sandwich combo. Will be back to try more and taking family & friends from out of town 🙂
I came for lunch during cold front and they had a heater for the patio, good music playing, and community flyers I enjoyed reading.
Thank you again to Johanna and Zev ! 🙂 Excellent, above and beyond service.
Jan 31st — I tried the smash burger and didn’t like it. Patties were too thick. Buns tasted good but didn’t feel good. Might be great while drunk. Should’ve gotten my usual.

The place itself is super laid-back, nothing fancy, just a comfortable spot where you can relax and enjoy seriously great food. The staff was friendly, the vibe was easygoing, and the whole experience felt like discovering a new go-to favorite. I’m already planning my next visit because I need more of it in my life.
I had Austin Daily Press cater my baby shower of 70+ people last weekend, and the Build Your Own Bowl Bar was a hit! We got so many compliments from guests that they enjoyed the food with many going back for more.
Food really makes a party, and I’m happy we chose ADP for catering our special baby shower! Highly recommend.
