We’re fans of the Braise restaurant in Milwaukee, so were excited to try this place when we were in the area visiting my parents recently.
We were delighted to find Braise quality and creativity combined with a charming Northwoods atmosphere and small town hospitality. Just stopped in for breakfast this time (loved the warming spices of the Fall Colors latte) but look forward to coming for dinner next summer.

Braise North is a culinary experience nestled away in the north woods of Wisconsin. My wife and I had a fantastic dinner experience, enjoying multiple courses featuring Wisconsin products. The staff was friendly and cordial, coming out to have conversations with us after we ate our meal at the bar. We returned the next morning to be just as satisfied with their coffee drink and brunch options … do not pass up on the opportunity to dive into a savory crepe entre should one be featured when you’re there … you won’t be disappointed!!!

An amazing gem in the north woods. Morning Cappuccino or Expresso in a mug with heavenly pastries- try the Crossants and Quiches. Small plates for dinner are unique and desserts are a must. Quality over quantity is the theme, but it is enough. You will not be disappointed. Clean, well appointed, and friendly. Outdoor seating and reservations accepted. A must visit place anywhere, but in Lakewood, you should not pass this up. As someone with high expectations, trust me, you will love the experience.

We ordered coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and some treats and everything was delicious. The food felt gourmet and tasted like it had fresh tomatoes and cucumbers on it. We’d definitely go back. There was also an indoor and outdoor seating area.

I would recommend Braise North to anyone who visits/lives in Lakewood. I would recommend it for coffee/tea or breakfast. Every time I visit, it is such a great experience! The chai tea is very good. If you are wondering, it is more of an earthy chai rather than a sugary one. The everything bagel with scallion cream cheese? Amazing! And filling! Not to mention, the aesthetic of the building’s interior and food is beautiful. Also, all of the food is homemade from their kitchen. As you can see in the picture below, I ordered an iced chai tea latte and an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. The total for both of these items is about $8. The prices of food on the menu vary from a couple dollars to about $12.
