The meats were very good. Seasoned well. Ribs were juicy and had a nice smoky flavor. Same with the wings. The 3 different bbq sauces and the honey garlic buffalo were all solid. The Mac and the slaw were both good. I gave 3/5 for service bc I ordered to go and had to wait 20 mins past the suggested pick up time. It’s fine, I understand you’re busy but I find my time valuable as well. I’d recommend to anybody who was local. This is good bbq, but just be prepared to wait. The staff were friendly, plenty of free parking and I did notice they have a beautiful view of the sunset from the outside deck.

Been to tavern on the hill several times at this point, never disappoints! Must see views from the patio, never seen before in Mass. The location of the store is amazing, and the barbecue is even better! Brisket, pulled pork and ribs is always my go to and I’m not even going to talk about the house sauces!

Wish i could be stronger on this review. Relatively expensive for a bbq place. Good portion sizes, but average food. Brisket was very dry as were the pit beans and the cornbread just fell apart. Main reason for the 3 stars is the service, for the price paid, server should be way more attentive. Restaurant was not crowded at all.

It’s about timing and table here. I am an outside bar guy but can be tough to get a seat depending on when you arrive. Moinkballs, Gorgonzola bread, pulled pork or brisket; cleanse with a cold local craft beer. Set back and watch the Killer Sunset with a backdrop of mountains. Another fav of mine along with Shelburne falls apple orchard sunrises. Great food, great view.Enjoy! Peace & Prosperity!

Oufff, let me just start by saying this was a very long overdue trip. We got a gift card 2 years ago and just never found the time to go. We finally went and I will say it was hands down 5 stars. ✨️ I had the el Diablo marg, delicious! We had the fried Brussels sprouts, to die for. we both got BBQ plates pulled pork/brisket with Mac and cheese, pit beans, collards,and cucumber salad. Everything was absolutely fantastic. also, our waitress Mary was super attentive and extremely friendly!
A year later update: everything is still absolutely delicious highly recommend. I’ve come by once a month recently. Definitely a must have!!

I had the original. Pork, ribs and brisket were on point. The house bbq sauces were delicious. The pit beans and sauce were really good. The collars could have been more firm and the mac n cheese cheesier. The apps I had were also delicious and don’t forget the rich creamy chocolate mousse to end the night.

I have been to Tavern on the hill many times so finally will drop a review. This place is pretty consistent and has the best BBQ in the region alongside other great entrees. They consistently have some of the best smoked wings I’ve ever had, alongside other amazing appetizers. They have a decent whiskey selection and the mixed drinks are good too. Go with the mac and cheese and pickled cucumbers for sides. The place runs hot running the winter, wear a T shirt. During the summer eat outside on the deck. You will need to make a reservation if going on Friday or the weekend. I usually get brisket or ribs. We will keep going here every once in a while, they are kid friendly and have wheel chair ramps for people who need it.

Great poutine appetizer. Jambalaya had andouille, which was overcooked and slightly dry. Every other component, and there’s a lot, was absolutely spot on and delicious. We also got the double meat. Brisket was great. Beans and Mac and cheese ok. Service a bit slow, but they were absolutely mobbed. A great experience! I recommend making a reservation as early as possible. The place filled up so quickly. Will definitely be returning.
