Update:

Finally, I found a delicious, authentic Mexican restaurant in San Angelo. We have been here many times now and it is always delicious! Don’t bother going anywhere else in town. They even have fresh churros with ice cream for dessert. Sooooo good!

I got four different tacos in each one had their own distinct and delicious flavor. The corn tortillas were fried perfect. Al pastor was my favorite.

This place was fantastic! I had the chimichanga, tacos, and the Coco Loco drink—everything was absolutely amazing. The food was flavorful and well-prepared, and the drink was the perfect refreshing complement. The service was fast, professional, and made the experience even better. Definitely a spot worth visiting again!

Absolutely fantastic place to eat. It was pricey, but so much worth it. If you are looking for a really good burrito, it’s gonna be here. Was extremely satisfied and very glad I tried this place.

The cost was hire than most places. Taqitos were 3.50 each and some specialty a dollar more. No beans no rice just the street tacos. The chicken ones were not as great. The Al Pastor were good. Paid more for the food altogether than places like Gils, or Alejandros. Its okay for some street tacos but after being there four times. Seems I’d rather eat at other places. Before Jallisco.the staff was great and the atmosphere good. But just the portions and no beans or rice to be added for the price of what most restaurants charge for. A plate. Just no bueno para plata de un Plato.

Parking isn’t the best. We sat over near the bar, and sat there long enough that we were discussing walking out because no one served us. We finally got service. I got the beef chimichanga. It could have been good if there was more meat put in them.
The rice a day beans were delish. I love their chips and salsa. If you like cilantro, you’ll like their salsa.
I ordered a prickly pear margarita when ordering food and it didn’t come out until halfway through my meal. While it looked pretty, it tasted awful. It couldn’t even guzzle it. I told her she could take it, she offered another which I declined and she did remove it from the bill.
I may give it another try one day since the rice, beans, and chips and salsa are on point.

I must start with our server. He was GREAT! He was attentive and took care of us very well. He even had a humorous moment that I won’t get into but he was awesome!

The food was extremely good, starting with the tortilla chips and incredible salsa brought out from the beginning. The food portions were very generous and I didn’t feel as if I got shortchanged. I had the red snapper Al la diabla which was very spicy but too good to stop eating. The red snapper can be prepared in a variety of ways and I plan to try them all.

I’ll definitely be going back for more!

Taqueria Jalisco offers tasty, well made food, featuring a good mix of Texmex and more authentic Mexican dishes. My party ordered the lengua tacos, al pastor torta, guacamole and a mechelada.

The Good: The restaurant appears clean. Everything tasted fresh and the meat was very tender and well cooked. Presentation was attractive and portion size was respectable. Taco sauces and salsa were very flavorful with a satisfying spice.

The Bad: The lengua was a little on the bland side, prices are a little bit high, and the atmosphere could be a little more comfortable.

The Bottom line: Better than average Mexican cuisine in an area saturated with Mexican restaurants.

A MUST stop if you’re in San Angelo. Michelada’s are bangin’! Carne Asada…succulent, scrumptious. Friendly enough to bring the kids, or go to the inviting bar to pick up a scallywag
