We have been here a couple of times and the experience is just wonderful. The interior is beautiful and the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. The fine dining side is pricey but the food has always been well worth the cost. The menu itself is seasonal and locally sourced. The bar side is a bit more manageable and all of the options on the cocktail menu are delicious. Will definitely eat here in the future.

This restaurant is conveniently located in downtown Hudson Falls, NY. The restaurant is broken into two areas with two different menus – the bar and the main dining room. The main dining room offers a more formal setting and the bar (which allows you to order from either the bar or main dining room menu) is more casual. The menu is well curated featuing items that are created from ingredients from local farms, cheese producers, etc. Both menus offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. They also have some items which are ever-changing like the tacos, farm salad, and pizza. While they do not serve hard liquor they have a craft beer and wine menu, as well as a small wine cocktail menu. The cost and level of menu diversity are not typical to Hudson Falls, so it offers a unique dining experience in town.

I found Forge while browsing on Facebook & knew that it would become a favorite of mine just by browsing the many food porn-grade photos posted by past guests as well as the chef.
I was delighted by the value prices I found on the menu online, truly delighted. I wouldn’t call it a cheap spot but when you consider that all the food is sourced through local farmers with attention to quality & then prepared with new-age gastro-techniques it’s hard not to see the value of mains priced (for the most part) under $25 & apps around 10 bucks. They also had 5+ special offerings that change daily & they were priced similarly.
We sat in the gastro-pub section as both menus are offered in this room vs. the main dining room that offers just that menu. If I had to complain about 1 thing, it would be the chairs in the pub. They are very simple hardwood chairs that compliment the decor but are not extremely comfortable. I do suffer from sciatica resulting from multiple tailbone injuries though so I am more sensitive than most. This was why I took off 1 star but also I’m confident that this place will only get better & better as time goes on so it’s 4 out of 5 stars on a greater scale than average.
Our server was Caitlin & she was knowledgeable, attentive & happy to provide recommendations. It was clear that she had tasted the entire menu & was honest when asked about a bottle of wine that she wasn’t familiar with which I really appreciated. The wine selection wasn’t exactly the same as what they have listed on the website which was a little disappointing because I was looking forward to a bottle I had seen while researching the restaurant but the variety, quality level & affordable pricing was in line with what I had seen & we really enjoyed the bottle we chose, a buttery Chard from respected Napa Valley vineyard for around $30. Again, the price was right, in my opinion.
We were one of the last tables in the house & the chef did come out to greet the few guests who were finishing up which was appreciated. We ordered 2 apps, 2 mains, 2 desserts, a bottle of wine & 3 great craft beers (they also have great taste when it comes to these offerings) & the bill was around $140 which I think was a great value. We both cleaned every plate & did not have leftovers but felt perfectly satisfied by the portions, although I could have eaten a whole gallon of the charcoal ice cream made in-house with selections changing daily but that’s just me I suppose.
Looking forward to the next visit which I’m sure will happen very soon. See you then [forged] fam ❤️ Logan & Matt

Forged has an amazingly creative menu and preparation. We especially loved the trout dish. The chef had an obvious passion for fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The building is also really interesting. The service was attentive and our server knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

My husband booked the KT Table for my birthday. The experience was very personal and exclusive. The chef created a delicious seasonal meal with fresh ingredients. We had several cocktails that were all very good, I recommend the sangria verde. The Forged team is delivering 4 star food and experience at a very reasonable price. Thank you for bringing farm-to-table meals to Hudson Falls!

One wouldn’t expect to find a restaurant like this in small town Hudson Falls. The food was incredible, every element was well thought out and well executed. I had the pork belly sandwich, it was to die for. Even the fries were amazing!
The veggies in the salad were amazing and we heard the source story which made it all more exciting.
Highly recommend the pb&j wings, the wings are smothered in Thai peanut sauce and fried, then served with a strawberry dipping sauce. Absolute culinary genius!
Will certainly make the trip here again. Wonderful service, great food and their patio area is great for summer evenings.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this restaurant, as well as the owners, chef, and people who work there. We held my sister’s bridal shower brunch there on Saturday 4/6/19, and it was absolute perfection.
Our guests raved about the food, and the atmosphere of the restaurant. They worked with me to customize a menu featuring the bride’s favorite flavors, and accommodating my many questions and add-ons throughout the planning process. The chef even came out of the kitchen on our way out to make sure we enjoyed everything! The cost was comparable to any restaurant in the area where you might book this type of event.

If you commute everyday through Hudson falls, this is one of the best places to stop for a nice meal on the way home. Food was amazing, and mostly if not all farm fresh. Atmosphere is also beyond great (some would say it beyond stuff in Saratoga). Also, having a split fine dining and bar area menu is great if you want to change your experience and price range. Go here once to try it, it is worth the trip.

A gem in the area. Went in on a Saturday night. We got home made bread, bacon wrapped dates, seafood risotto, and braised beef with polenta. Drinks were tasty. Ate myself into a food coma, everything was so flavorful. Will be back.
I hope so much this restaurant makes it in Hudson Falls. It is a higher price point that most people around here aren’t used to. The prices are absolutely fair, in my opinion. You’d expect this food for twice the price in Saratoga.
