Great place to get hot chocolate in the winter and chocolate/ desserts in general. I love the homemade marshmallow that comes with it. The atmosphere is pleasant and staff is friendly and helpful. Lovely little place to relax at.

I love this place, particularly for the croissants. For me, it’s the twice-baked almond croissant that’s up there with all the best I’ve had which include croissants in France and Richmond, plus other big cities. For my wife, she says that she thinks the raspberry chocolate almond croissant is her all-time favorite croissant she’s ever had anywhere. She also loves the chocolates, of course.
I would love to see an expansion of the baked goods, personally, but I know it’s primarily a chocolate shop so I’m just glad they offer any.

Thank you West Broad Street, Short Pump, VA location staff (helpful female employee behind counter & male employee) so much for your diligence, efficiency & effort to treat me a new customer with a welcoming attitude! Wow! Amazing Mocha & also got a reasonably-priced drip coffee for my coffee-loving relative! The treats displayed were so beautifully laid out but too lovely to puncture & distort with my teeth/ will opt for one on my next visit! Would like to try the pumpkin scone!
Just lovely decor & serenity permeates your cozy shop! I will definitely spread the word just as 2 female Trader Joe’s employees were singing your praises & your items certainly lived up to these praises!

Really great & affordable cafe. They make the Mocha & hot chocolate syrups in-house with their own chocolate. I got the most expensive baked good on the menu, ($5.50, the Chocolate Buttermilk Cake), it was very big, fresh, and delicious! I also got a really good medium-sized Mocha latte for only $4 bucks. The customer service was top tier as well! Highly recommend trying this place out the next time you stop at the Shortpump Trader Joe’s that’s just two shops down in the same commercial building.

I had a great experience at Gearharts Fine Chocolates in Short Pump! I got a mocha coffee and a brownie bite, and both were absolutely delicious. The mocha was rich and perfectly balanced, and the brownie was decadent with just the right texture. Unfortunately, they were out of most bakery items since I arrived late in the evening, but that just means I’ll have to come earlier next time!
What made my visit even better was Chrissy, the barista—she was so friendly, welcoming, and made my drink with care. Her great service made me feel right at home. I didn’t try the chocolates this time, but I definitely will on my next visit!

Without a doubt, this is the best cappuchino and the best flourless chocolate torte anywhere in town. We live over in Midlothian, but anytime we are near the Short Pump area, my wife and I always make sure to stop here and order two cappuchinos and share a slice of the flourless chocolate torte. This place is so good, that everything else gets scheduled around stopping here. The prices are extremely reasonable for what you are getting. Two of the smoothest cappuccinos you’ve ever had and a slice of flourless chocolate torte that will satisfy the cravings of any chocoholic, all served on china will cost your about the same as two inconistent tall cappuchinos and two average desserts served in paper cups and paper bags from one for the coffee chain stores. Chrissy is always so pleasant and you can really tell that she enjoys taking care of the customers.
