We used to really enjoy eating at Cicis Pizza. We hadn’t been there for a while and when I brought my family there to eat recently, we were very disappointed. The salad bar was missing a few of the toppings at first and there were only a few wilted and hard end pieces of lettuce left. I had to ask and then wait several minutes for someone to bring dressing. The variety of pizzas was very underwhelming. Both my wife and I notice that there was barely any sauce or toppings on the pizzas like they used to have. My favorite is the BBQ but, this time, there was only a very thin layer of sauce, and everything was mostly just dough. When it was time for dessert, there was no apple or Bavarian pizza available. After waiting for a while, I asked if one would be coming out soon. One of the employees gestured to the oven so I continued to wait. After several minutes I asked again and then one was actually made and we had to wait longer for it to be cooked. I don’t mind waiting if I know something is being cooked, but there was barely anything available on the buffet. When I went to discard my trash and put away my plate, the bin was overflowing with food and trash and plates of leftover food were being piled around and even thrown into the buckets where the dirty plates are placed. At the same time, there were two employees leaning against the wall looking down at their phones. I had to mention to them that the trash was overflowing. They gave me no verbal response and just had long looking faces. Very unbecoming. There used to be an arcade for the kids. I’m not quite certain but, from the looks of it, it appears to have been removed. I could be mistaken. Also, not a big deal, but I could not find any red pepper packets that used to be available with the parmesan cheese. I don’t know if we just visited on a bad day, if cutbacks had been made to the food, staff and facility due to the economy, or what, but there has been a noticeable decline in the quality of this once loved restaurant. My advice: Clean up the place, add more sauce, and train your staff to speak and work with passion and a smile.

Went here on 1/19 and it was a disgrace. Food was old and disgusting and the new pizza they put out wasn’t even cooked through. The young lady that was the cashier couldn’t even stay up front to cash customers out. Every time she cash one person out she’d run to the back to talk to coworkers. As many employees there was the buffet should have been stocked. No salad at the bar, 3 full pizzas total, The other pizza was old. I spent 45 minutes there and only one pizza came out the oven the whole time. Restrooms were horrible and stunk so bad. The only nice thing I can say was the restaurant was clean.

I am a big fan of cicis pizza, and we lo e the game room. Unfortunately, there was a homeless man leering into the windows pacing back and forth outside. I asked the young lady behind the counter if he was a customer, and she said no, he eats for free, but he knows he isn’t supposed to be out there. They have a buffet, but of the pizzas made, not one had a single vegetable. The pizza is good, but there are just not a lot of choices on the buffet. The game room is fun, but of the 15 games they have, 3 games weren’t working. They have lots of parties, so it does get loud and a bit sticky. But the pizza is great!
On our second visit still no pizza with veggies on the buffet but after asking the young lady at the register she had one made up for me! Not knowing that, I asked the young man if he had anything coming up with veggies and he turned and asked the gentleman at the oven to fire one up; remarkable! 5 star restaurant service all the way!

The Universe
Food was the only good part. The bathrooms are disgusting, the workers on the actual food line weren’t even using gloves as they worked on the food people eat, and on top of it all, the cashier was keeping her children in the corner of the building as she worked. One of which is still in a stroller.

Review revamp. Not sure when but clearly someone bought this Cicis and did a great job revamping the place. Pizza is still the same so that’s good. The employees are always so dang nice. My only complaint is the bathroom. Still the same gross bathroom as back when but hey at least it’s not the whole store

This Cici’s is a great place for pizza. My family and I drove two hours from our town to come to Alexandria for a break, and we chose to eat here. We hadn’t eaten at a Cici’s restaurant in about three years, and when we did, we were very pleased with how good the food was. The buffet was clean, the food was excellent, the service was impeccable, and the whole restaurant felt like an inviting place to dine. The price wasn’t too high either. We had a good time here, and we’ll come back the next time we’re in the city. This is a nice place to eat.

Newly remodeled play area and great quality pizza for a buffet. This place has several new games that aren’t overly expensive and works on a little card system like many newer arcades. The staff is friendly and will make a special pizza for you if you ask. Great for kids or big groups.

I give two stars because the manager showed nice customer service. If it wasn’t for him, the service would be a 0 stars. It’s been a while since I have patronized Cicis, because of the lack of customer service. My family and I decided to grab a quick lunch and initially it was a great experience, besides the lack of pizza on the buffet. I decided to order some cinnamon rolls for take out, something I use to do all the time. Well, when I received the cinnamon rolls, they weren’t warm at all, especially to say they “came right out of the oven”. Well, I decided to ask the ladies, a “mom and daughter duo” if there was a reason why they were cold, as polite as I could & immediately their voices were rude and loud. Then they gave the cinnamon rolls to the manager, Carlos, and he checked them and said they weren’t cold, but let’s be honest they weren’t hot either. So they said they will do another, possibly in the most rude manner that they could think of. As I was waiting for the cinnamon rolls, I decided that I didn’t want them anymore and was ready to leave, because of the rude customer service. I went up to the counter and asked for a refund, the mother – daughter duo asked “why” & I told them because of the way they raised their voices at me. So they run to the manager and tell the manager that I didn’t like the way they talked to me. The manager walked to the front and began to process my refund, so then the mom, of the duo still talking about the situation under her breath & I noticed she went to talk to her daughter and they began pointing their finger at my mom and stating, “yeah that’s the mama right there.” I honestly have no idea why, or how they know my mother. So, I told the manager I normally don’t write reviews, because I have worked many years of customer service & I know it reflects poorly on the business. I had to do this, because in all my years of working in customer service & now owning a barbershop/salon, I have never raised my voice or insinuated the customer or client is a liar.
I honestly feel bad for the manager, because he use to have such a good crew. Customer service was always excellent, the pizza was great and cinnamon rolls weren’t cold. Hopefully, he has a conversation with them & they will do better next time.

Newly renovated and you can tell. The quality of the seating has improved vastly, and there seems to be a new pride in the operations of this place now. Even the quality of the pizza has seemed to improve. For the price of the buffet and the options this place is a must for families to enjoy.
