I just discovered this new Arabic restaurant in my city, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The owner is an incredible person who makes you feel truly welcome from the moment you walk in. The food is outstanding—authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and dishes prepared with real passion. On top of that, it’s also a very cozy café, perfect for relaxing, enjoying a drink, and taking in the warm atmosphere.

If you’re looking for exceptional service, genuine hospitality, the best Middle Eastern flavors, and a comfortable spot to enjoy great coffee, this is the perfect place. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves good food and wants to experience something truly special. Give it a try—you’ll love it.

The lamb shank is incredible. Shawarma has great flavor and the hummus is excellent. Everything we ordered was delicious. And I very much enjoyed eating buffet style at home while watching IU win its very first Big Ten football championship. Also, the gentleman who I spoke to was very kind and friendly, as was everyone else who was working. We will be returning!

I ordered takeout from Layali Feast in and honestly their food was fantastic.
Everything was fresh, well seasoned, full of flavor and tasted even better than I expected. The service was quick and smooth, which I really appreciated and super kind too they make you feel welcomed right away.

Totally one of my fave spots. ✨

I ordered online and was excited to try. I was a bit disappointed to receive a meal that did not at all match the photos online. It appears they are using stock photos, and I feel a little catfished! I encourage the owner to revise this and show the real food being served, because what arrived tonight was disappointing in comparison.

For my meal, I was not super excited that my meat was on-the-bone. (This is just personal preference, I ordered it because in the picture it was not.) Regardless, it was very fatty and didn’t have much of any seasoning. The rice was the same, lacking flavor. I absolutely love middle eastern food and how it’s usually bursting with spice and flavor, but this must be toned down for white midwestern palettes. On the bright side, the grape leaves and the lubnan were pretty good.

Overall, I probably would not eat here again at this time. I think the owners should revisit their recipes and not be afraid to add more spice and seasoning! Hoosiers need encouragement to step outside their comfort zone into the world of international cuisine. Don’t be afraid of flavor!

Side note: Their hours are wrong on all the delivery apps, as they have mixed up the open and closed times and thus can’t fulfill orders. I tried to let the owners know in several places to no avail, it was only fixed on their website’s ordering platform.

Absolutely incredible!
The food is insanely delicious — truly on another level. I highly recommend trying this place if you love great flavors and excellent service.

I honestly wish they had branches all across the US… they genuinely deserve it!

Layali Feast is the best late-night spot in Bloomington, and it’s not even close. I mean, just look at these pictures. If you get just one desert, consider the kunafa, with which I am now obsessed. It’s crunchy, gooey, and mildly sweet—honestly worth a trip even if you don’t get an entree. This family-run gem absolutely ranks among the best spots in all of Bloomington’s often-disappointing restaurant scene. (Note—Layali operates out of Turkuaz’s building after closing time.)

I am so obsessed. I think I went back for 4 days in a row when I first tried Layali Feast. The name is very accurate, since you will always want to feast there. The chicken mandi and chicken kabsa are top tier. It is truly fall off the bone chicken, and has completely changed my mind about bone in chicken, and I say that as someone who used to hate boned meat. The flavors are very dynamic, and although it may look simple, they have done an amazing job creating a wonderful menu with delicious foods. If you like flavor, you will like Layali.

The service on the other hand, is even better, which I didn’t know was even possible. The owner is so friendly and his wife does an amazing job managing everything so well. They are truly the dream food duo of Bloomington. Go enjoy some Layali Feast!
