One of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve EVER been to! Not only is their food always delicious, their customer service is phenomenal. You’re always greeted with a smile and you definitely never leave hungry. I’ve never been a fan of guacamole but I cannot get enough of theirs! You wouldn’t think this unsuspecting little restaurant in a strip mall would be this outstanding, but trust me, it is.

It is a good find off the beaten path. The food was good. Keep in mind that it got busy by 6pm in this visit. So, you may need to come in before 6pm. There were two (2) separate large parties that came in after we go seated. The waitress needed help on this day. However, I did get an apology for her being as attentive as it should have been. I also did get all that I asked for. Recommended.

We’ve been there 5 times and it’s the last. Decent food and portions, but every single time they have gotten 1 or 2 things wrong. In fact, the last time I ask for a tall whiskey and coke and a margarita for my wife. We get a whiskey shot and margarita. When i was served I say tall whiskey and coke, so I can have it diluted more, and even use hand signals to explain. Next I’m being served a 32 oz frosted beer. How did they even know what kind of beer I liked? Then my tacos come out with raw onions when I said no onions. I’m not making difficult requests here. The time we went before, after they got it wrong again, they had the bartender come out and take our order. He understood and served correctly. I’m not trying to bag on this local place, but if there’s some kind of understanding deficiency they need to correct it.

Absolutely fantastic experience at El Patron. If you’re crusing across i10, stop here and grab lunch or dinner. Trust me.. just stop here. You will not be disappointed. The staff is friendly and happy to serve you any of their great food! There is a definite atmosphere of family and friendliness. Pedro the owner is almost always there and on this trip he even made us some off menu items that were out of this world! Spicy fajitas, grilled pineapple, and even made us tableside guacamole that was excellent! You will not regret stopping in here!

This is our 2nd visit this month. Their food is delicious! Extremely friendly (new) owner and staff! Eduardo is our favorite! We had Birria Changa, lunch special chimichanga, the Fiesta Burrito, the Carnitas, the kids Quesadilla with rice & beans, and the kids Mac & Cheese with fries. Everyone enjoyed their food very much. Their hot salsa is so good with the fresh hot chips. Highly recommend!
