Finally tried LUFU NOLA’S location in the French Quarter and they did not disappoint. The atmosphere and service were top notch. Their Indo- Chinese , dahi ke kabab and gulab jamun cheesecake (ate even before taking picture) are my personal favorites. The chefs here have seriously poured their hearts into curating the menu.

2 locations with different menus. We went to the French Quarter one if you want dosas go to the business district one that seems to get better reviews. The food was good but maybe we’ll try the other place as well. Faint smell of bad plumbing as you enter is noticeable and toilets are up a set of narrow wooden stairs so not disabled friendly.

This food is SO GOOD! The staff is wonderful. The ambiance in the front room is way too bright and sterile, but the back dining area is cozy with good art and design. This is such a great addition to the Lower Quarter!

We had heard so much about Nola French Quarter in New Orleans and were excited to try it. We even walked about 40 minutes to get there. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.

When we arrived, there was construction in the area and many streets were fenced off, making the restaurant difficult to find. We called the restaurant for help, but the person on the phone kept repeating the same street address even after we explained that we were already there and could not locate the entrance.

When we finally found it and went inside, there was one staff member present. He did not greet us. After a while he came over and simply placed the menus on the table without saying anything. No water was offered and he disappeared for about ten minutes.

When he returned to take our order, we asked a few questions about the menu and side dishes. Each question was met with a short “no” or “we do not have that,” with no explanation or effort to help.

We placed our order, but still were not offered water or any basic service. At that point we decided the experience was not worth continuing. We asked a woman at the bar area to cancel our order and we left.

It was disappointing after making the effort to walk so far based on the restaurant’s reputation. Unfortunately, the service we experienced was unwelcoming and inattentive.

Excellent service on Valentine’s Day during Mardi Gras! Food was delicious; our table had a curry, a tandoori entree, and a biryani. I will definitely be recommending Lufu to others and returning myself 🙂

It’s a good restaurant, if you are a vegetarian you can find good options. We ordered Dahi ke Kabab, Gobi Manchurian and Dahi do Pyaza. Everything was good and tasty except Dahi ke Kebab, it is kind of a fusion than the traditional styled Kebabs.

Wonderful! We were unfamiliar with so many of the Indian food options on the menu but our waiter was amazing. We started with a Chai old fashioned that was divine. He helped us with our entire order and we loved it all from a shrimp appetizer to the garlic Naan. The chef made a special vindaloo for my husband that was extra spicy. We can’t wait to go back!

The food was exceptional. It always is. Tonight we had the Shrimp 65, Saag Paneer, Samosas and Fried Pepper Chicken, plus cocktails. Everything looks delicious- absolutely spiced to perfection. This restaurant always has our favorite stalls at French Quarter Fest and Fried Chicken Fest too. They are a can’t miss for your Quarter culinary tour!

The best butter sauce I have ever tasted (tikka masala). Take it with chicken or paneer. Flavors are next level on everything! Beautiful space, solid drink menu
