Cozy, informal branch of a local chain serving a mostly sushi menu, plus other Japanese staples.

Located not too far from BWI, in a small strip plaza. Food was ok only, not spectacular. They do have several vegetarian options like the tempura vegetables and veggie rolls. I would not say the food is authentic, but good enough for this area. I am visiting from California and I have tried many better ones. We ordered the tempura vegetable, a bento set (salmon teriyaki and sashimi), age tofu and a veggie roll. The age tofu was pretty close to the original. The tempura needs better batter.
Price range is average price. Need to improve on service. We were having dinner at 5pm, the place wasnt busy at all. The waitress should not taken our plate away immediately when we stopping eating. There were still some items in the plate which we were planning to take out with us because we couldn’t finish.
Plenty of parking available.

Sushi was good. Fish was fresh so taste was on point. Service was very attentive. Lunch specials very affordable, other pricing seemed on par for Sushi. Went for lunch on a sat, very quiet, probably because it’s in a location that’s seems a bit off from the main areas.

Service is good. Food is delicious. If I could order one of everything, I wouldn’t hesitate.

Finally – not a “cookie cutter” Japanese place.
Feels very authentic.
Excellent presentation, service, and cuisine.
We tried a few beverages on a menu too – they were all great. We don’t drink alcohol, but just as a note, there is a big selection of Japanese alcohol in this place.
Appetizers and rolls themselves were delicious.
The only suggestion: deserts are on a smaller side. For example, Japanese wafers come in pack of 4, there is no need to only put 2 on a plate.
Otherwise, highly recommend, and we will be back for sure.

It was ok, surprised this place has good reviews. ppl probably have no idea what Japanese cuisine suppose to taste like. My ramen, the broth was extremely bland, no umami/richness, worst than instant ramen, very watery.
Udon soup is decent, also no umami, no hint of dashi stock.
Sushi set for two: fish is extremely fishy and not fresh.
Overall, food itself is so mediocre.

Incredible little gem next to BWI airport. The food is delicious in a sort of homey way (not fancy or pretentious, but just warm and tasty and comforting). Each platter is clearly carefully plated to order with attention to detail – the 2 sushi rolls ordered were artfully placed on the same plate together, showing that there is creativity going into each order and not just one cookie cutter standard way of arranging. Their tempura – whether on the shrimp, veggie, or ice cream – is very light and crispy. Highly recommend the tempura ice cream, it’s very unique and quite good. All the small decorative touches really do make a difference. Be advised that the food is pretty mild tasting so if you’re like me and like things saltier/more strongly flavored, you might have to adjust (I added soy sauce to my udon). Not a criticism, I believe that is how the food is supposed to taste, just a heads up for others like me. Service is friendly and attentive and the place seems to be family-run. Oh, and prices are quite good. A party of 3 people ate dinner, with dessert and one drink, for a little under $60.

I have been going to this restaurant for sometime now for lunch especially since its so close to my job. Recently I had a not so great experience. The waitress servicing my table was also eating at a table adjacent to me. Inobserved that she didnt wash her hands when providing me with my food after eating from her plate and wiping her mouth with her napkin. I would hope in the future this establishment focus on hygene when servicing people’s food. I am not so sure I will be returning after this experience and dining with my coworker.
I was also rush out the establishment when it was nearing the cutoff time period after lunch ends.

So glad I chose this restaurant! As soon as I walked in, I was struck by the very authentic-feeling atmosphere. The decor and subtle music were perfect, the service was excellent, and I loved the touch of having the servers wear kimono.
Of course, all that would be meaningless if the food weren’t excellent as well. Thankfully, it was! I had the chicken katsu dinner, which included miso soup, rice, and a salad, and I also ordered edamame. While the miso and salad were expected sizes, they were very generous with the edamame, and I was really surprised by how big the chicken katsu dish was! It all tasted great, and I took half of the edamame and katsu home.

This is a casual Japanese restaurant and bar. Perfect for a quick dinner after work. The service was top notch. I sat at the bar and the sushi chef made me a lil special roll as an appetizer while I waited for my food (without ordering it.) I did not LOVE the food, although that could have just been the rolls I ordered (Amber roll and maryland roll).
I’d give their food another chance if I’m ever in the area again.
