I had 3 soft tacos, no crunchy available. I had 2 ground beef and 1 shrimp taco. I always get disappointed when I go to a restaurant after seeing them online and there’s no real seating. I had to wait too long to receive my meal and was disappointed in the size, seemed way small for the price. I would probably try them again if I found myself in Deep River again but I definitely wouldn’t go just for this restaurant like I did this time.

I ordered a burrito around 7 pm one night here. It’s a very small little take-out taqueria in Deep River. It is deviated with colorful Mexican decor which adds to the charm. It’s a take out place though – you can eat at a 3 person small counter by the window. There are no public bathrooms though.
I ordered a pulled pork/carnitas burrito which was fine but not excellent. I am picky about meat & I felt the pulled pork had a strong flavor which I am not a fan of.
It was a generous portion & had the requisite rice, beans, pico, cheese in it.
I always try a pls e 3 different times to be fair to the restaurant. I will be back to try some other menu items.

Honestly was not impressed. It was more of a take out place than a sit down place. They only have 4 tables out front. The burrito was soo bland. I got the surf & turf burrito. The chips & guac were good. I will say the staff is very sweet! Wish I could have given this spot a higher rating.

BLUF: This is the best Mexican street food in CT, and possibly all of the east coast.
I’ve lived in CA for years and had Mexican street food from essentially every spot of note in the San Diego and Los Angeles area. This is as good, if not better, than any spot I’ve had, and it’s LEAGUES better than anything else in New England. The owner(?)/manager I met is from Oaxaca and wanted to bring authentic food to the area, and they did not disappoint.
Highlight had to be the Al Pastor. Have not had Al Pastor like this since I moved from CA, and I’ve tried so many spots in both CT, RI, and MA. Everything was good, especially the birria, and the temperature / freshness of the food is insane.

This is hands down the BEST Mexican restaurant in our area. We love their chimichanga and their white queso dip. Plus, everyone who works there is kind and really goes above and beyond.

Tried El Bracero for the first time today and was absolutely blown away. Hands down the best Mexican spot I’ve found in Connecticut so far. The service was fantastic — the staff was super friendly, helpful, and made us feel right at home. Everything was fresh, made to order, and bursting with flavor. We ordered a bunch of different dishes to try, and every single one was a hit. If you’re looking for true, authentic Mexican cuisine, this is the spot. I’ll probably be back within the week!

This is, hands down, the best Mexican restaurant I have ever visited. The menu options are exciting and different, and the food takes so fresh and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the pork belly street tacos. The street corn. The, oh, just everything. You can’t go wrong! Order takeout, because there is no room to eat there, except on some outside tables or by the window.
