Just tried for first time and will definitely be returning! Tried the protein power bowl for myself and ordered the Nutella bowl for my daughter we both loved so much! Place was very clean and staff very friendly as well. Great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend trying!

I went to Playa Bowls in Bronxville, NY to order two “Açai Energy” smoothies to go, and what I witnessed was absolutely unacceptable. As the girl behind the counter was “making” my order, I saw her go into the freezer and pull out premade smoothies. When I asked if she was about to use those for my order, she casually said yes.
I’ve been to Playa Bowls locations all over New York, and this has NEVER happened anywhere else. I called over another worker (who seemed to be a manager or team leader) and asked if this was allowed. She told me the smoothies were made for a party that never showed up and were sitting in the freezer for about an hour. She also admitted the owner was aware of this practice!
Let me be clear: I was about to be charged $25 for someone else’s abandoned order, pulled from the freezer and passed off as fresh. I immediately demanded a refund because this is dishonest and disgusting.
I will NEVER go back to this location again, and I strongly suggest others think twice before spending their money here. If this is how they cut corners in front of customers, imagine what goes on behind the scenes.

Awesome bowls with good amount of toppings. The only downside is it is a but pricy but worth it. I was already full halfway through eating it.
There is outdoor and indoor seating and the food comes out fast.

It was freezing inside since the weather outside was cold and they have the door open. Small place and as you’re eating an acai bowl its freezing!! The bowls were filled really well and tasted delicious, however I found it astonishing that it costs $30 for two bowls?? Really pricey, would only reccommend as a treat every once in a while.
