Food is nasty- I ordered an omelette with well done hash browns- I got an omelette smothered in butter with 0 flavor- and almost raw hash-browns.after sitting at a table for about 40 minutes before my service even started. Menue is simple it does not have diner nostalgia. The Waitresses were nice enough when they finally bring service- but crowd and atmosphere is a little weird – the food is Disgusting-I mean, really disgusting. I felt gross eating it. Would never go back.

I ate here almost two weeks ago. Food was really good, and the bacon and sausage both seemed like a good quality. The waitstaff was a little strange. They seemed sweet, but not very attentive. Maybe they should consider assigned sections or table rotation. I am not sure who was supposed to be our server. The pancakes were the best i have had in a very long time. When we came in the sign said please wait to be seated, but we were ignored. I thought maybe we were welcome and wondered if we should vacate. One of the waitresses finally advised that we could sit anywhere we’d like. We’ll be back as the food is delicious and service has declined almost everywhere. Hopefully the waitresses just had an off morning or hadn’t woken up yet. I loved how quiet this place was. It’s definitely an old school diner.

What a great “greasy-spoon” diner. All of your country breakfast favorites are here. I’ve eaten there twice in order to make this review.
I ate lunch both times, getting breakfast food, and service was fast and friendly. Great service. Plenty of seating.
The food was great. I loved the biscuits. The sausage gravy is peppery, which I like. I had the grits, for the first time in about 40 years, and I still don’t get it. LOTS of people there were enjoying the grits, so I’m guessing they are good.
I’ll certainly be eating at the Bankhead Diner anytime I’m in the area. Thanks for the great meals!

it was the worst experience that I’ve had at a restaurant. The food was awful. the cheese grits, before I can eat turned to water. The stake didn’t even look like steak it looked more like chicken. I wanted to try a neighborhood diner. I see this is not the right place to go.

This is a GREAT diner and a most visit. Samantha was our server, she was prompt, polite, and friendly. Food was your typical diner food, and came out hot and as ordered. Pricing was excellent for food portions.

Average diner, the food was okay. I wouldn’t go here for anything remotely healthy but I guess that’s the nature of this cuisine. Nevertheless, the service was good and I enjoyed their hospitality

We walked in and waited while the servers rushed around. A gentleman at the counter pointed toward us to show the waitress we were waiting for someone to either seat us or let us know we should seat ourselves. She looked toward the door but not at us. Finally, another server indicated we should seat ourselves.
We waited for about 10 minutes and flagged a server to order. She said, with order pad in hand that had just been taking orders from other tables (yea, we saw that) and that she would be back to take our order next. Great!
Went up to the front and on the way back, stopped at another table to take their order. They didn’t even have menus yet. So, after getting them menus, she came to take our order. Our order was put in over 20 minutes after arrival.
We asked if we could get a biscuit and gravy ahead of the meal like an appetizer. Probably not, because the kitchen was cooking for everyone. Okay, nevermind that then.
Food came out fine but not hot. Server never came back to the table to check on us nor would she make eye contact. Sat with dirty plates in front of us for a good, long time until another server finally took them away.
If you’re okay with feeling invisible, this is your restaurant.

I ordered 2 egg whites scrambled, smoked sausage link, hash browns cooked well with cheese. I received my food in timely manner BUT…… My egg whites were not scrambled. They were slimy and runny!! The waitress had sat a plate on top of my hash browns and most of my cheese came off on the bottom of the plate. AND…. My hash browns were not cooked well. The waitress took my plat back and shortly came back out with what she took in except what hash browns that was left on my plate were now well done and only a little bit of cheese left on them!!!!!! I will not be eating here again!!!!

I wish I could give this restaurant 0 stars because of the horrible service and food. I want to start off by saying that the staff is rude and they don’t take any consideration in the customers needs. The food was horribly unseasoned and I found a hair from one of the servers in my food!!!! I will never go here again! Not to mention the place smelled like cheese because they have carpet!
