Last Monday I was lucky enough to discover this place while going to pick up a to go order from another spot down the street. When I walked in I told the lovely young lady that my birthday was the day before and since I did not get a cake or anything like that (because I’m an adult, I guess?) I was going to treat myself too an acai bowl this morning.
She then told me that two of her relatives had birthdays yesterday like me, and someone else in her family had a birthday later in the week, which of course I thought was amazing. She also talked about going to visit her family, which sounded lovely.
After I sung the collective praises of all my Aquarian brethren, I ordered an acai bowl with pretty much everything in it.
So now I get to the reason for writing this review-
That was one of, if not the best goddamn acai bowl I have had in my life thus far. And this is someone that has sworn by SunLife since discovering it almost 10 years ago. Now, I need to decide whether or not I’m willing to drive to Monrovia and pass all of those SunLife locations, because it’s worth the trip. Once you know something better exists you feel silly paying for something that isn’t as good. If I never go to SunLife again I’ll be fine but if I never visit the Acai Bar again that’s a different story.
Lastly, I wish I knew the young lady’s name but I don’t. Hopefully she remembers telling me this story and hopefully this message gets to her because she is an absolute gem.

LOVE LOVE LOVE The Açai bar!! I try to get it at least once a week… Seriously!! The açai Is the best I have ever tasted!! The recipe changed for a short time. The original is back!! Never had a problem with fruit not being fresh & plentiful. I have only purchased the açai everything else looks and sounds great though!! The customer service is excellent!! I wish every establishment had employees as pleasant as The Açai bar!! Definitely give it a try!!

We go here all the time and have had a good experience up until a couple days ago. We had it delivered (which was fast) but one bowl was full of rotten bananas. I called and spoke to a girl that didn’t seem to care and stated they don’t put bad bananas in the bowls. Well they did and when I asked for the manager’s information she didn’t seem to know it. We won’t be back anytime soon if at all.

We have been meaning to try this place for a while, and shared the Butter You Up. Delicious combination of açaí, peanut butter, granola, and banana. The person at the counter was super friendly and helpful with helping us choose our fist time order. I think it might be our new favorite treat stop!
