We loved Juanita’s Heladería Paraíso Tropical! Its way better than the neverías down in Denver. The shop was very clean and the staff was incredibly friendly. I would honestly drive back to Colorado Springs just to come here. Everything tasted fresh and high quality. The elote really stood out—it was yellow corn instead of white, which is so hard to find, and it tastes way better. The nacho cheese on the Elote Loco was amazing and didn’t have that overly artificial flavor to it. Even the mangonada ice cream tasted fresh and not artificial at all. I sadly didn’t try the Champorado this go around but will on the next visit! Highly recommend!

Fresh, big portions and great flavor! Everything is made to order and you can’t go wrong with anything, just depends what you’re in the mood for. A lot of the ice cream is enough to share! Staff was awesome and place is clean!

I cannot say enough about this place!! we had ice cream, mangonadas, and elites!! it was the best Mangonada I’ve ever had! We have had them in Puerto, Penasco, Mexico, and they were better, here! We are over six hours away and we can’t wait to come back! My son is actually giving recommendations to people in Durango, and telling them they have to go there!
