Fantastic Sunday Brunch. Great menu selection, excellent flavors, and great portions. I love to see the use of so many local ingredients and the bold flavors they are presented with.

The Chiliquilias were a fantastic surprise!

It was really hard to choose what to order the menu is full of great ideas. I got the big dill it was delicious great combination of flavors. The fries are perfect and homemade ranch always wins me over. Whenever in the area this is where I’m going to eat. Thanks

The food was very meh. Especially for the price, I expected much better. They were out of several items on the menu as well. I had a burger and it was mid. We also ordered spinach artichoke dip and was basically cheese dip with a little bit of spinach. It tasted alright, but not what was expected.

My wife ordered haluski. The menu says it came with egg noodles, but the meal didn’t have any noodles when served.

The atmosphere was dead. We were there at 5:30 and there were only two other parties.

Service was fine, but with a slim crowd, it took our good longer than expected. The waitress did her best, but she was put in a tough position having to tell us multiple items were unavailable. She also told us the chef had to leave in an hour so we should get our order in quickly.

Nestled in Downtown Wheeling. Good vibe, good service, very good alcoholic drinks. Props for use of a lot of local businesses on the menu. The smoked rabbit cornbread casserole was on point. The iron Haluski was lacking in overall seasoning, but the Casserole saved the show. Looking forward to Coming back and trying the Cuban.

Spending over $100 for that dinner was absurd. We go the Valentine’s Day Dinner that was $48 for Wine, appetizer, entree, and dessert.

We didn’t get wine because we were underaged. We still had to pay for it. The appetizer was jalapeño popper. They were so spicy that it wasn’t enjoyable and the bacon was so fatty that you couldn’t eat it and it was served over a bed of warm lettuce. My boyfriend got the Grilled Chicken, loaded brussel sprouts, and rice. The chicken was dry, brussel sprouts were mushy, and the rice was mediocre. I got the steak, asparagus, and loaded baked potato. The steak was just a fatty piece. I cut it apart trying to find a good piece. I found maybe about 1/8 of the steak that had no fat on it. It was terribly over seasoned. The asparagus was mediocre and the basked potato had more sour cream than potato.

I accidentally spilt my drink and i had to clean it up on my own. I was sat by a window with cold air barreling out of it. I also had to wait 1 hour for the food. I tried to let all that slip away and be positive to make tonight a good night, but it was difficult.

I expressed to the manager that i felt that over $100 for this meal didn’t seam reasonable. She expressed to me that I knew what I was walking into and it wasn’t their fault. They offered 10% off of the meal. I got $4 off the entire meal…

When we got home we tried the lemon curd cake. It was hard. The bottom was overcooked. I called to complain again and they told me that they were too busy to talk. I’m just so frustrated that i had to spend $98 on a meal that wasn’t even worth $50… and then was told it was my fault. Absolutely Ridiculous.

My Fiancée and I got dinner here after stopping by the record shop next door. It was okay but I was disappointed by some aspects. They seemed to be out of a lot of menu items for a Saturday night at 7pm, especially since we were only the 5th party we saw through our whole dinner there. We were warned that it would be a bit of a wait when we walked in as well, but stuff happens so I wasn’t too upset about this although it did seem odd.

The burger I ordered didn’t have the bacon on it and this was one of the items that I wasn’t notified that they lacked ingredients of.The fries that the burger came with were amazing though. My fiancée thought her food was okay but nothing special. On the final bill I was also charged with a fountain drink when I got water but I only noticed after I paid so my mistake that I missed it, but ideally it never would have been there.

I don’t think I would go back, but assuming they had everything in stock and was fully staffed in the front and the back, I would recommend it to someone in the area.

The truffle fries were delicious. I had the BLT and my husband had the hangover burger. They were pretty much your basic all American dishes. We will try something more unique next time.
We also dined in on a Sunday for brunch and the service was not great either.

Had a great time here! We arrived right when they opened and were seated in a nice booth in the window. They had great local alcoholic ciders that my partner and I tried. The gluten free breakfast I had was good.

In the heart of downtown Wheeling, we Trip Advisored into the Vagabond Kitchen. The on line menus were incredibly inviting and accurate. The atmosphere was modern and inviting. The food was perfect for a cold winter’s night. My chicken pot pie was divine as were the brownies. This place was worth the effort to find parking and avoid the rough patches on Market Street. We’ll be back!

Very good restaurant with a menu unlike any other…tried some different things here and loved them all! The duck fat fries and duck wings were really good. Dessert menu lacks a bit. The menu does change seasonally, so check their FB page before you come
