I had an absolutely fabulous meal and cocktails. We had cocktails at the cocktail bar and then sat at the Sous Chef bar to see the meals prepared which I always enjoy. We had the Duck with Coq Au Vin sauce and Pork with Spatzel. We shared cheese curds with hot pepper jelly and pork belly. If you are in Saratoga it’s a must go but you must make reservations. Even the cocktail bar filled up within 10 min of them opening. There was a line outside before they even opened.

Only when to dine is the question at Hamlet & Ghost in Saratoga Springs. ️
A beautiful restaurant with a relaxed warming vibe serving outstanding food.

The tuna crudo was simple and elegant with evenly balance of flavors, and the beet salad made me actually excited about vegetables (a rare feat I sadly admit). The sirloin with mushroom sauce? It was so tender and flavorful, but the mushrooms and sauce stole the show. The inventor of this version of shrimp and grits deserves a standing ovation because, WOW! A delicious pairing of creamy goodness and perfectly seared shrimp.

The cocktails were dangerously drinkable – I may have channeled my inner Shakespeare and had “one drink too many” (but regret nothing).

Something is absolutely NOT rotten in the state of this kitchen. 10/10, and will feast here again.

I went to Hamlet & Ghost for the first time a last month, and it has easily been one of the best dining experiences I’ve had during my three months in Saratoga Springs.

It’s a popular restaurant, so reservations are recommended. If you’re able to get a seat at the bar, that’s a great option as well. We arrived right when they opened on a Friday night and were seated immediately, but within minutes the restaurant was full. (On a return visit, I learned they will take your name and number for a callback if you’re hoping for bar seating.)

Tim was our bartender and provided exceptional service. He was attentive without being intrusive, checked in at the right times, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal.

The cocktails were very well done, especially the martinis. At the end of the evening, we ordered an espresso martini, and Tim thoughtfully split it into two glasses for us to share!

The menu changes seasonally, which keeps things interesting. We ordered the bread and butter and the salmon. The bread arrived warm with a lightly sweet whipped butter topped with black sea salt. The salmon was perfection with crispy skin and tender, flaky meat.

I can’t speak highly enough about Hamlet & Ghost. From the atmosphere to the drinks, food, and service this restaurant is a 10/10

Amazing restaurant!! If you’re visiting Saratoga Springs and want somewhere good to eat, book this place! The drinks and food are all really well done. Coming from nyc, I feel like this would be a competitive restaurant there too. Make sure to reserve in advance because it gets packed.

This was the perfect place to celebrate my wedding anniversary! Made a reservation to sit at the chef’s counter where we watched all the magic happen and we were gifted 2 glasses of champagne! We ordered many things…Oysters were delightful, Beef Tataki was INCREDIBLE, Butternut Squash Salad was perfect, Salmon was very nice, Octopus Ink Pasta with Mussels was rich and yummy, the Burger was phenomenal (best we’ve ever had) and the coffee cream dessert was heavenly! Thank you to Jill for taking such good care of us and making us feel uber special!

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here. We sat at the chef counter and had a wonderful evening. The food was so delish and perfect portions. The staff were wonderful to speak with and very kind/attentive. The small space is well spaced out and the atmosphere is a real delight. My husband and I highly recommend and it was a lovely Halloween evening.

Steamed clams with kimchi are a flavor explosion that’ll make your taste buds dance. The clams, tender and briny, soak up the spicy, tangy kick of kimchi, creating a perfect balance of ocean-fresh sweetness and bold, fermented heat. Each bite is juicy, savory, and just a little funky, with the kimchi’s crunch and zest cutting through the clams’ richness.

Hamlet and ghost is the medium sized restaurant located in the Saratoga Spring area, serving American style cuisine with occasional daily specials. A reservation is recommended – even on the weekdays- as we managed to snug the last available walking table for four around 6 PM on the weekday.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the servers overall was solid. The decor is tasteful and clean, with a nice blund between the bar and dining areas.

The special of the day was the muscles, which were delicious and generously sauced. The duck fat fries were crispy – so good that you might want to ask for extra mayo on the side for tipping. The smoked duck came in a modest portion, so having extra table bread on hand is a smart move.

The ghost burger started off a bit salty on the first bite, but the flavor balanced out nicely as you ate. You could really taste the quality of the fresh, not overly greasy, meat. Overall, the food was spot on and everyone at the table enjoyed their meal.

However, a few downsides: the $26 old-fashioned was overpriced and pretty average at best. And they added a 4% kitchen fee to the bill without any prior notice. While we understand rising costs due to inflation and need to support staff, we believe that should be reflected in the manual pricing or wages – not as a fee. Just a different style of management, I suppose.

Great spot! Came for a date night and hack cocktails. They were all so good, then our neighbor let us try the mushroom pâté. It was divine! So, so good!

Been here several times and the food is always amazing and something I’ve never tried before! My husband and I love love love this place. The cocktails are always made with a lot of love. The first place that comes to mind when asked for a restaurant recommendation in Saratoga.
