First, this building is amazing. It has been listed on the national register ass a historical building dating to 1840 something. It was sent and wood and the transformation into a restaurant was expertly done. The restrooms were clean and nice. I should have taken a picture of the bar on the second floor. It ran the length of the room.
Second, the service was top notch! Never had to ask for a refill and she made a great suggestion for our cocktail. We sat at the buffalo table for Valentine’s Day.
Third, the food. OMG! My husband talked me into the 8 Oz filet and I regretted it, it was so much steak, but it was so good, I atebit ALL! The fry bread took us back to something we hadn’t had since the 90s. It was instant nostalgia for us. I will be bringing friends to try this place out next time.

Steaks are delicious (especially the filet). Service is fantastic. Strawberry & cream martini was delicious, as well. We had a great time with family while here. But, for an upscale restaurant, the salads reminded us of a diner, the drop biscuits come with packets of honey like KFC, & the sides are disappointing (fries, boiled potatoes, or green beans). But, we primarily came for the steaks (tried ribeye, t-bone, & filet) and they were great so still deserves 4 stars.

This long-standing establishment has an undeniable charm and a remarkable wine selection that reflects its history and reputation. However, during our visit, a few aspects of the meal fell a bit short of expectations. The fried biscuits seemed to be made from canned dough, and the steaks—though slit several times—were served undercooked compared to what was requested.

While the food could benefit from a touch more refinement, the service was truly outstanding. Every member of the staff was gracious, attentive, and professional, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the evening.

If you are looking for a good place to eat in Fort Smith Arkansas, please consider this review. My wife and I were attending a couple of concerts this past weekend August 28 – 29, 2025. We chose to eat at Doe’s eat place due to the reviews and what seemed like an amazing menu. First let me say that the wait staff was great and the service we received was as well. But that being said, the $80.00 2 lbs ribeye that I was served was sub par to say the least. The steak although looking amazing it tasted as if it were pulled from the cow and placed directly on the grill without a single trace of seasoning. Now as that may be good for some, it is not great for most. The honest to God truth is that I have had several steaks from Texas Road House, Out Back Steak House and even Logan’s roadhouse that were far superior to the ribeye that I was served at Doe’s eat place.

This is a true and honest review and buyers remorse is not a factor as I was fully prepared to pay what I did for the meal when I made the reservations. The price I believe would have been more than fair for the steak dinner had the steak stood up to cost.

Cool building, good steaks, but the sides leave MUCH to be desired. Green beans tasted like they came from a can. Boiled potatoes very bland. Mac n cheese was just okay. Also, so tacky to serve food on plastic plates when the price point is $50+ per entree. My server Jennifer was great, and we did like the biscuits and tamales. Overall I would not eat here again.

Outstanding service, great wine menu, and delicious steaks. We’ve been to the original Doe’s in Greenville and were excited to try the Fort Smith location. Our server, Allisha, was fantastic and made several great recommendations. She did rush us and timed out our courses so we could have a leisurely dinner. We were so excited to see one of our favorite wines on the menu and ordered a bottle of the Archimedes by Francis Ford Coppola Winery (although it said “Frank” on the menu). We had bread service and salad that were both great. The bread was fried drop biscuits served with honey and butter. We both had steaks for our entree. The hand-cut fries were so good and the steaks were cooked to our liking and had great flavor. We were seated next to a curved brick wall in the lower level that was interesting, but very loud with a large family group in the same area. If you can, I would recommend asking to be seated on the main floor. At the end of our meal, Allisha even took a few minutes to show us around the building (so interesting) and introduced us to the manager.

Housed in an 1848 brewery, the atmosphere this restaurant could not be better! The food and service were perfection. In my opinion it would be a mistake to miss this while in Fort Smith.

It’s really difficult to even start with this review I would like to say our expectations were rather high considering this is $150 a person kind of restaurant. It cost us $300 for two people. Which is not bad that’s acceptable for a nice restaurant. But the atmosphere in this place was horrendous it was so incredibly loud from the group behind us that you could not even hear yourself think we couldn’t even hear our waitress take her order it was so incredibly loud this place over serves and encourages people to act like absolute heathens in a nice restaurant. The amount of loud profanity, vulgarness, and screaming is the worst I’ve seen in any restaurant in a long time. On top of that the salads that were brought out were just bagged salads wasn’t even freshly made which was disappointing You could tell it was just that run-of-the-mill bagged salad I expect more from a restaurant like this. And to top it off our $125 steaks we’re not even remotely cooked correctly…. Extremely disappointed in this place cannot express enough that this place is not anything that it claimed to be. I hate to say this but I think we would have had a much more enjoyable experience if we just would have went to a chain restaurant at that point it was that bad.
