I loved it. The food was great, savory and on point. I had the Greek salad with chicken breast and it was cooked perfectly. My crew loved their dishes too.
Service was also great. Our server was a young girl but she was very kind and attentive, always checking on us and making sure everything was good.
Sometimes you just have to give places the opportunity and see for yourself, especially with local businesses. They really need our support right now.
Also, the place is very Instagrammable. Definitely coming back.
The restaurant itself is adorable. It has a great atmosphere, I love all the windows, and the decor is really nice. This is an amazing place to meet someone and be able to carry on a conversation. Unfortunately, I didn’t care for my lunch plate. I ordered the podium burger, and I was disappointed because the burger is a patty you could buy at any frozen food section. I think they would have a home run if they would make their own patties. The best part of the plate was this jalapeño cream sauce that was absolutely delicious. My friend had a turkey wrap and it looked great. She would definitely order it again. I think I would’ve been happier with the breakfast menu and I am willing to try it again for that reason. I think I would’ve loved to see a taco plate on the lunch menu since they have a breakfast taco plate. Or even an enchilada plate or the chilaquiles. Especially since they’ve had so many positive reviews on their chilaquiles! I think having that option on their lunch menu would be amazing! But if you’re looking for a new place to try, give The Podium a shot! When I do try it for breakfast, I am definitely going to give their ☕️ a try because they sound so enticing!
When we politely asked if he could honor what was promised, he refused, saying he needed the fee to pay his staff. That would be understandable if we had received attentive service — but we didn’t. We had just one server for our 10-person party, and she was frequently absent, helping other tables outside our reserved space. Our refills were rare, and water wasn’t consistent.
To add to the frustration, we were still charged for all drinks and even billed an extra $10 for a tablecloth — despite the owner previously saying the $150 would cover the room and drinks. In the end, my friend paid $150 for the deposit plus $150 for the meal, and we all left feeling misled and honestly a bit taken advantage of.
The food itself was good, but the experience left a bad taste. I would caution anyone looking to book a private room here: Get everything in writing, and don’t assume a verbal agreement will be honored. Disappointing service and broken promises shouldn’t be part of a celebration.
