First time at the Lawrence and I’m so excited for a new chef owned restaurant in the area. Food was great, very fresh and light. We left feeling pleasantly full without feeling overly stuffed or heavy. Our server was awesome, very attentive and kind. The menu has many options for GF as well as mocktails. We can’t wait to come back and keep sampling the menu

First, the atmosphere of the restaurant is very classy. It looks like an expensive restaurant. The price is reasonable and the service is great. I ordered the baby back ribs with crispy Brussels sprouts. I liked the ribs but the Brussels sprouts they burn it to the max that is very impossible to eat. They said it is supposed to be crispy but I said crispy but all the way burnt, very bitter. Good thing they replace it with broccolini for free. The shrimp with grits is good especially the sauce that they put in it. It has scent of Asian flavor. The scallops with veges is good too. Overall, the experience is great and service is great!

Excellent atmosphere, so cozy. The service is amazing and the food awesome. Only one thing to say is that the kitchen brings out all the plates at the same time and the onion soup it wasn’t warmed enough. The crème brûlée is the best!!

Very disappointing experience. We ordered 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and a dessert. Everything was generally underseasoned, especially the steak frites – basically zero salt on the steak topped with an extremely overwhelming garlic butter, which completely blocked the flavor of the meat. Although the fries were crispy, they were also under seasoned. I felt that they are trying hard to impress with the presentation and unusual twists on classics, but the flavors don’t mix very well together, or work in interesting ways. Some dishes were creative but tasted very strange: an example was the paella-like seafood dish (no rice). The dill and bell peppers did not play well with the subtle flavor of the saffron puree. The dessert was a decent chocolate torte. We didn’t think the food was worth the price, which is already extraordinarily expensive for the area. The pop playlist was also a strange choice for the rustic interior and ambiance. However, we were happy with the wine list and the service.

If you want to feel fancy over drinks, this is the place. If you want to eat food you’ll actually enjoy, go elsewhere. Everything on the menu sounds appetizing, but what gets served to you isn’t what you think. For example the hummus is actually just (overly) charred Brussel Sprouts with a smear of hummus across the platter that isn’t enough to share. Each dish was underseasoned and underwhelming.

Also, our trip came with the added excitement of every single item being served to us cold. The meatballs, crab fritters, brussel sprout hummus plate, and even the $6 Parker House rolls. Stone cold. The rolls seemed to be made in advance and had already started to get stale.

Adding in that they don’t serve lunch on Sundays – but fail to advertise that anywhere – this experience was not at all what we were looking forward to. Beyond the beautiful aesthetics and potentially the nice – yet inattentive- service, it left much to be desired. Even the daiquiri was water down and muted.

At a whopping $84 for three apps, one salad, and rolls, this just didn’t add up for us. Hopefully your trip will be better than ours.

Went with friends and had a great experience. We started with the meatballs and the crab fritters, both were perfect. For my main, I ordered the pork chop. The meat quality was excellent and it was very juicy, though the seasoning was a bit salty for my taste (I tend to prefer lighter and sweeter flavors).

The staff was friendly and the dining area felt spacious and comfortable. I’d definitely consider coming back.

The food was alright. Nothing special, wasn’t mouthwatering. The staff were great tho! Great service. One weird thing is that an AI voice will be the one providing service if you call the restaurant phone.

Don’t spend your money here if you don’t have enough to throw away. Look, I’m middle class through and through so I literally never eat places like this. I’ll admit I was expecting more – the chicken was half breading/gristle and it was not cooked in any kind of spice or flavor. Next to it was a mayonnaise-coated clump of lettuce intermixed with a mystery legume, labeled as a caesar salad. My friend ordered the salmon, and made her boyfriend eat it later that night so it wouldn’t go to waste. We ordered three drinks: 2 cosmos, and 1 nonalcoholic espresso martini. Maybe I’m just used to cheap liquor, but that cosmo was bitter as hell. Very smooth texture, but I didn’t even want to finish it. The nonalcoholic espresso martini was what I imagine expired chocolate milk would taste like, but they were all very pretty. Finally, we ordered the birthday girl a slice of strawberry cheesecake and my god, I hope y’all saved a pretty penny on the sugar you definitely didn’t put in there. I understand it’s probably organic and new-age cheesecake or whatnot, but come on. Even my best friend who likes bitter, healthy, and exotic foods, hated it. The goat cheese was great though. Our service was fantastic, our waters were always full, and everything was explained to us expertly. I will say, was really not expecting to have to listen to P!nk’s “Just Give Me A Reason” while also trying to choke back that cosmo. Honestly, thank god I wasn’t paying for that meal because if I was, hearing that song unbuzzed surrounded by loaded trust fund babies probably would’ve been my breaking point. Definitely went home hungry. Just go to Olive Garden or maybe McDonald’s, they’ll do you one better. Peace and love.

Really enjoyed my whole experience. We had the crab fritters, goat cheese and meatballs for apps. Loved them all.
Then the mushroom gnocchi and steak fritters for entrees.
They all hand signed a birthday card as well which is very thoughtful.
Definitely coming back.
