Update 10/2020:
I still love coming here for their manapua, pork hash, roast pork, and char siu. During covid, only 1 person in store at a time. Place is awesome as always.

Update: We ordered manapua for family to take off island… this place is winnahs! In my opinion, the taste and meat to bun ration was perfect. The pork hash was the best I’ve tasted in a long time. This is now my GO TO place for manapua, pork hash, and roast pork. Call to preorder larger orders. I hear the rice cakes is pretty good too. They were sold out of those when I got there 🙁

Prices are not too bad either. I’ll gladly pay these prices for great food from a family owned restaurant. Support local! And they stay open late!

Old: Wasn’t too bad. The roast pork was pretty crispy. The char siu was good too. They have a whole bunch of Chinese food down there. Prices are pretty decent.

Better than travelling all the way down to Chinatown.

My family and I have been searching for a “cheap” Chinese food place for a year now and I am so happy that we gave this one a try! We had the broccoli beef, sweet n sour pork, and shrimp fried rice and we can gladly say they were delicious! I have a very picky toddler that will not eat take out rice from anywhere .. he tried this rice and actually ate 2 1/2 helpings !!! Anyone looking for good food at a great price don’t look past this one !!

This place is no joke for roast pork, roast duck and more. Some of the best on Oʻahu. Definitely check them out if you’re in the mood.

Ordered their roast pork and char sui. It is the best! They do run out so it is best to call before heading out in the afternoon; especially on the weekend. (Learned the hardway…picked up after lunch and decided to get more. It was about 3pm – ran out! Maybe had a big take out order?)

There can be a long line and only one person who chops the meat up.

Local Chinese restaurant – take outs only. I always pick up roasted duck from here. After covid, they shrank the menus just like many other restaurants.

The lady at the counter was very rude about the hot mustard sauce. I ordered two plates and asked if the pork hash came with a sauce and she said no ? What restaurant sells pork hash and the sauce separately? Come on. Then the sauce is 1.50$ more ! She was very rude. Her attitude was very disrespectful.

I love their roast pork! My family has ordered countless roast pork and charsiu here over the years. I used to get Coke and strawberry Icee here as a kid. So many great memories and lots of good food.

The young man who chops the roast pork and charsui is friendly and smiles. However lucky if you can get the same response from the female.
** The roast pork is excellent, however this is the first Chinese restaurant that I have shopped at that commands a minimum of half a pound when purchasing either char sui or roast pork. You cannot combine the two to make 1/2 pound
** They must feel confident in their store to dictate how customers may purchase their products. A minimum of three pork hash? 1/2 pound minimum to purchase either roast pork or char sui?
** Manapua leaves much to be desired. The filling is is bland and is more like minced char sui. No way near the quality of Chinatown. The bread of the manapua is good, just not the filling
** Also no option to use credit card, cash only. Other cash only stores allow you to use a credit card with a surcharge
This is a grin and bear it store if you want to make a purchase
