If you’re looking for a romantic, cute #Valentine’s date spot, Zapote is SUCH a vibe. Dim lights, stylish interiors, perfect for sharing plates and having a long dinner with margaritas Here’s what you absolutely need to order:

1️⃣ Totopos & #Guacamole: Of course we started with this. My favourite. Fresh, creamy, perfectly seasoned. Simple but unreal.

2️⃣ Yellowfin #Tuna & Spicy Crab Tostada: Light, fresh and slightly spicy. So balanced and such a good starter to share.

3️⃣ Fillet of Beef, #Oxtail, Ancho Chilli, Avocado & Tomatillo Salsa: Rich, tender and full of flavour. The tortillas make it even better because you can build your own perfect bite.

4️⃣ Grilled #Octopus, Pasilla Chilli & Pipian Verde: Smoky, juicy and packed with flavour. One of those dishes you keep thinking about after.

5️⃣ Coal Roasted #Secreto al Pastor Skewers: Super juicy, smoky, served with guacamole and salsa roja. Bold and delicious.

Perfect for date night, anniversaries, or when you just want to impress someone with a proper #Mexican feast ❤️

The food is utterly fantastic. Beautifully made and presented – you taste each individual fresh authentic ingredient’s note.

The place is very tastefully designed and decorated and the tables are well spaced to allow privacy but maintain atmosphere.

The staff are really warm, helpful and welcoming, happy to explain the menu and make you feel right at home.

Don’t miss the sea bass aguachile, crispy suckling pig, or ox tongue tacos. Honourable mention to the duck quesadillas.

Now we’ve discovered this place we’ll be back soon

We have had one of the best experiences dining here. Not only food was delicious but service was impecable (great recommendations from the Spanish lady… unfortunatelly -lucky us- it was her last day at work). The place is next level beautiful. Did I say food was amazing (every single plate!) and the Margaritas . We also felt extremely comfortable and were made feel like home. 300% recommend

I had a nice enough meal here. The service was friendly enough and the waiting staff very helpful. Unfortunately, the quality of the food didn’t really match the pricing. I realise it’s London and things are more expensive here, but honestly I expected to be blown away, and I wasn’t. It was tasty, but nothing special. The house white wine was excellent.

Having said all that, I asked for a quiet table (dining alone), and the staff were very accommodating. The restaurant itself has an excellent vibe. I would definitely visit again, but next time I’d choose other items from the menu. The bill came to £77 for three courses, water, and two glasses of wine.

Incredible food, Mexican “modern”. Everything has its own taste combinations, without overwhelming the ingredients used. Great for events or celebrations. The bigger the group, the more options you can order. Friendly staff, a bit loud environment, in a happy way

This is undoubtedly one of the best Mexican restaurants in East London. As a Mexican person, I felt the food transport me right to my childhood eating at my grandmother’s dining table.

The food is well-portioned, thoughtfully curated, and lip-bitingly delicious. My favourite dish, one you should definitely not miss, is the Charred Elote with Recado Negro!!

Also love the cocktails, they complement the food with their flavours and spice!

We went there on Saturday for dinner. Everything was so delicious, especially the Yellowfin tuna and spicy crab tostada, the Candy beetroot, tomato & pomegranate aguachlle. The Grilled Octopus is a must. The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed. Friendly & attentive service as well!
We will definitely go back!! Thank you

I’m convinced Zapote is the best Mexican food you’ll get in London. We went for mainly seafood and was so impressed. True to Mexican flavours often with its own twist that’s executed really well. The sea bream aguachile was delicious, and we also LOVED the tuna tostadas. Cocktails are brilliant too.

For those who appreciate quality over quantity, and refined taste over mass-appeal flavor profile, Zapote is a must-try.

We were so pleasantly surprised by the quality of the ingredients, the wonderful combination of flavors and how much care was given to each dish. Every mouthful was a celebration!

Service was just as impeccable as the food. The staff was engaging without being too overwhelming, proactive without being pushy and attentive to details.

My favorites were the red prawn ceviche, the octopus and ex-tongue taco. Can’t wait to return and try all the other dishes.

Great new restaurant with a laid back vibe serving the best Mexican food I’ve had in Europe. Highlights were the crab, lamb and sweet potato although all dishes we had were amazing. Really friendly service with good pricing as well makes this a venue I hope to return to very soon. Highly recommended. Revisited at the weekend and it’s even better now! Immaculate service, food and atmosphere. Returned on March 7th and it was even better!
