Had dinner here recently on a Saturday night while in St. Thomas. There was a short wait (10-15mins) before we were seated. The ambiance inside was nice and cozy as it was dimly lit; however, some other patrons at an adjoining table were being quite loud.
I ordered the Chopped Salad with Blackened Tofu while my companion had the Lamb Chops. I enjoyed my salad, especially the creamy jalapeño dressing that it came with.
Although our server Heather did her best, she seemed a little mechanical (possibly stress?) and clearly overwhelmed. It took a really long time to get the check, even after indicating to another employee that we were ready.
I also noticed that the table beside us were experiencing a delay with one of the orders and were evidently not happy either (based on the discussion they were having with our server).
I’m not sure is my experience is typical but the service aspect wasn’t up to par. Would I go back? Yes, but not on a Saturday night.

Thank you Nicole for your amazing service & drinks. The drinks and food were phenomenal, Nicole’s service was amazing. We came here for our anniversary and we were not disappointed. We did wait some time for our main dishes as they were very busy, but Nicole was so sweet and accommodating, we really didn’t mind. Nicole however needs a raise because this girl was running the bar and waiting all the tables herself, and doing so gracefully at that.

XO Bistro was an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely incredible. The prime rib was excellent — perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. The lasagna was just as impressive, rich and satisfying.
The crab cakes were very good, and the shrimp scargot was great — packed with flavor and cooked just right. Even the garlic bread stood out, fresh and delicious.
The XO salad was great and a perfect start to the meal, and the espresso martini was awesome — the perfect way to top everything off.
Overall, the food was amazing, and I would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

We came here for dinner on a Monday in November after a recommendation from our taxi driver.
We sat at the bar. It’s located in a plaza so the restaurant isn’t super big. The bartender greeted us quickly and gave us menus. We ordered drinks, the salmon meal and a beef meal – I don’t remember exactly that the beef was. We didn’t wait long for the food to come out. Everything was good.
The atmosphere was casual and laidback. It is a little dark in here – I would have liked a little more light.
Prices were comparable to every other place we had been in St. Thomas. There was some parking at the plaza. There was one restroom for the whole restaurant – at least that’s the only one we saw.

This place is so good. We had the shrimp escargo, blackened tuna app, grouper special and Xo salad. Absolutely fantastic. Our server was Aubrey who is now retired and enjoying her island dream. Thank you so much everyone at XO. This is our new fav spot.

We stopped in without a reservation around 6:30 PM, and the place was completely packed. While there were no tables available, the hostess was incredibly accommodating and managed to seat the four of us at the bar, where we were able to order drinks and enjoy a full meal. The cocktails were perfectly crafted, full-strength, and absolutely delicious. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and everything was prepared flawlessly. An excellent experience overall—highly recommend this establishment when visiting St. Thomas.

My wife and I ordered togo on a Sunday night. The receptionist wasn’t the most hospitable or welcoming. We placed our order and she said the food would be ready in 25 minutes. We strolled the block while we waited and when we returned we were told it will take an additional 30 minutes for our food to be ready. This was not a major issue for us and we were highly anticipating the food to redeem this (minor) inconvenience. We spent $90+ on the most mediocre food ever. The shrimp pasta was dry and sad. It lacked sauce, any flavor, and well…shrimp. It was just an oily mess. The pot pie (which was advertised as an speciality entree) was tiny and bland. The garlic bread was stale and tasteless. We were expecting some amazing food from these reviews but this food was worse quality than what could be found at a cheap all inclusive resort. Unfortunately, this goes down as one of the most disappointing meals of our lives.

Hidden gem I’d say! Food here is super good. Definitely a local feel. I was sat at the bar even though there were many open tables that were empty the entire time my friends and I were there so not sure why that was. The oyster appetizer was a nice large portion. Plantains were so freaking good. So sweet and cooked perfectly. Food came out quick which was nice. On the pricier side for sure. This place definitely isn’t appealing from the outside but go inside and give it a try!!

First of all, I think it’s safe to say by our standards, XO is not a restaurant, it’s a bar. They play loud, thumping music. It’s dark, it’s loud, the waitstaff for all their efforts, are highly understaffed and surprisingly ineffective.
The pasta and shrimp in a garlic and white white sauce arrived, drowning in lemon water, the ribeye arrived basically raw and had to go back. The mahi-mahi was good(wow!),but the snapper never even arrived. After asking multiple times why one entrée was missing when the rest of us were eating, they finally said that they ran out.(!!!) So we ordered the salmon… The salmon never came. After being in the restaurant for nearly three hours, we cut our losses told the waitress she had five minutes to give us a bill or we were walking out. She was very sorry. Did her best to make amends by not charging us for drinks or appetizers, but for the first meal of our vacation on St. Thomas, it was a bust.
