We’ve tried this place multiple times, and it has been excellent every single visit. The Kabuli Pulao, goat biryani, chapali kebab—everything is absolutely spectacular. The service is impeccable, and the staff are extremely friendly and genuinely kind people who truly care about their customers. The ambience is very welcoming and homely.

My three-year-old daughter loves this place as well and really enjoys the food and the overall experience, which says a lot as she is a very picky eater. I’m so glad this restaurant and grocery opened up recently—it’s a great addition to the area.

Extra brownie points for their goat meat: it’s amazing. I regularly buy fresh goat meat from here instead of other stores because the quality is consistently excellent, very fresh, and reasonably priced.

We will definitely be regular customers. Thank you for such a wonderful place and experience!

If you’re looking for authentic Afghan food done right, Mazidar Grill is an absolute gem.

Everything we tried was deeply flavorful and clearly made with care. The Palov (Kabuli Pulao) is the real deal—perfectly cooked rice, aromatic spices, tender meat, and that signature balance of sweet carrots and raisins. The food platter is a knockout if you want variety: generous portions, beautifully grilled meats, and bold yet balanced seasoning. And the biryani? Straight-up incredible—rich, layered flavors without feeling heavy.

What really stood out was how customizable the spice level is. You can keep it mild or turn up the heat without losing depth, which says a lot about how solid the base flavors are.

The chickpeas and lentils were another highlight—simple, authentic, and deeply satisfying. Pure comfort food done right.

And then there’s the butter chicken, which is truly unique here. They use grilled chicken instead of the usual preparation, giving it a smoky, authentic character that sets it apart. Creamy, perfectly spiced, and packed with flavor.

The customer service deserves special mention. The owners, Vas and Nas, genuinely go the extra mile to make sure you’re taken care of and leave happy. You can feel the pride they take in both the food and the experience. The grocery side is also slowly growing, with Afghan staples and other Asian groceries, which makes it even better for anyone wanting to bring these flavors home.

A place with great food, warm hospitality, and heart—you’ll want to come back.

This was authentic and outstanding. I will definitely be returning. I got the goat dish and ate the whole deelish dish, plus the two samosas. I’ll probably be getting some groceries too! lol And that “salsa” is both fire and has a kick! Oof.

The platter for two was excellent. The chapli kababs were freshly made for us. The rice and other meats were also fresh. Very delicious. The owner is a very nice and kind gentleman. They gave us dahi bhalla to try, which was also very good. We will definitely be back.

I came in here on a Sunday hungry for a food I have not tasted in so long. Let me just say, the customer service? Absolutely incredible! The owner was so kind and brought me things on the house. The chutney? TO DIE FOR! I went in for a quick meal, and ended up staying for tea with a comfy and cozy environment. It’s not often these days you walk into a restaurant and feel so comfortable. This is now my new spot. If you haven’t been here, you need to. The pulao is amazing! Tender meat, full flavored rice! Will be back tomorrow for another plate ❤️ hidden gem

Wife and I stopped by Mazidar Grill for something different. We’ve never had anything on the menu before. The staff was very kind. They were curious on how we heard of them.

We ordered the Butter Chicken and the Lamb Karahi. Wow!! Amazing food!

When the staff came by to see how we were doing, he mentioned to try the Chapli Kabab, which I ended up ordering that to-go!!

We WILL return, well worth the stop!! Great food!!

I have nothing new to add, but I wanted to
join the chorus of people singing the praises of this amazing little restaurant and grocery. The food is INCREDIBLE, and I mean really and truly delicious. We stopped in today and got the goat karahi and goat biryani, and I couldn’t make up my mind as to which one I loved more. I’m just glad I live so close and can go back soon and often. The market section is also great and we will
be back to stock up on spices and ghee (and to try more of their dishes).

DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS GEM OF A PLACE!!!

Stopped through for takeout after finding it by searching for butter chicken locally to me.
I’m honestly not sure what I expected, as I had never had Afghani food…but wow does this far exceed anything I could have expected. Very flavorful and clearly had thought put into it. I also ordered the chicken biryani which is exceptional as well.
While in Mazidar, everyone there was friendly and asked how I learned of their place. We ended up chatting for 15 minutes and I learned a lot them and the restaurant.

I was a bit nervous when ordering to try something new, but I’ll be going back and trying whatever they recommend. Hoping they see success, they deserve it.
