Lately, I’ve been trying more local restaurants. Sal’s was highly recommended, and after reading the reviews and seeing all of the scrumptious pizza pictures, I decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a good experience. My meat wagon pizza looked nothing like the pictures posted, and it looked very dry. It arrived cold, and in the Door Dasher’s defense, he communicated with me and he arrived early for pick up. I live less than four minutes away from Sal’s so no excuse there. I reheated the pizza in the air fryer. I didn’t mind the grease. It reminded me of NY pizza. However, it lacked flavor, the toppings were scarce and apparently didn’t make it to my pizza, and the cheese tasted weird. Overall, I am very disappointed and I expected a better experience. I spent nearly $30.00, and the pizza missed the mark.

So I’m a bit disappointed, to say the least. I loved the pizzas back in the ambulance days, so I was ok with spending the $25 for a single 18 inch pizza. I ordered a pepperoni with extra cheese and Sal’s version of the meat lovers. I was extremely disappointed when I opened my box to this. There isn’t a lot of meat on it, and the pizzas both appear to have the same amount of dried up cheese on them. The cheese tasted like a whole lot of cheddar cheese, which was such an overwhelming flavor. They are also swimming in grease, but I don’t mind that as much. They definitely weren’t on par with back when the pizzas were being made by Sal out of the ambulance. I will say with the cheese being so dry, thin, and mostly cheddar, plus barely having any meat on it, I felt scammed. Why is this pizza $25 a piece??? This was on par with a frozen pizza. I was extremely disappointed! Then when I came to write this review, I see all of these pizzas with lots of cheese (white like mozzarella, not yellow and dried up like cheddar) and lots of meat, and I just don’t understand how this happened.

Ok so I’m a pretty hardcore food critic and I only give praise when it’s earned and deserved. I’m about to hit y’all with some truth!
Cheesier than your dads jokes, more tastier than your moms thanksgiving Mac n cheese, the pizza looks directly into your eye the moment you lift that beautiful warm box lid. You can feel the loved simply just by smelling the steam raising off of that warm melted cheddar cheese like Jesus’s resurrection. Your taste buds will have you believing you’re standing in the middle of Italy’s capital city. I do feel the need to warn any dominos or Pizza Hut employees that Sal’s perfection will most likely end their careers but that’s their problem. Anywho, let’s get back to this delicious pie! Literally the best pizza in north Louisiana! Extremely satisfying, pizza is right on time and perfectly cooked! Btw the MacNcheese was even better than the pizza. 10 out of 10 WILL recommend 7 days a week! BRAVO!

Food was amazing, whatever they make tastes really good and savory. So far I’ve had their pizza, garlic knots, and Mac N Cheese. My favorite item is the Mac N Cheese with bacon. It’s top 3 Mac N Cheese’s I’ve had in my life hands down.

Y’all remember that episode of SpongeBob when king Neptune had a krabby patty for the first time, and he spit it out, just so he can eat it again, because it was so good? That’s exactly what I wish I could do. That pizza was Soooooo Good!! I ate 4 slices while driving on the road. I was almost willing to wreck just to eat it . It was too good. I have no complaints at all. From the ingredients on down to the crust. Everything is Amazing. I’ll definitely be back again. Guaranteed. Matter fact, I’m bout to order another pizza right now!! I highly recommend this place for sure!! You won’t regret it.

Tried this place during their soft opening (online order only right now) and the pizza is amazing! You can tell everything is made with care, and the customer service was fantastic. Prices are a smidge higher than the big chains, but absolutely worth every penny for the quality! Even my baby couldn’t help but go to town on this crust
