Local. Handmade. Baked Fresh Daily. Back in 2010, we started with one baker, four baristas, and a mission – to give our hometown a great bakery, and make the greatest products we possibly could. We wanted to attach Hartford’s name to something superlative and create something the community would be proud of. Our philosophy is simple: we use the finest flours, quality butter, and European chocolates we can get our hands on. During the growing season, the selection in our pastry case is determined not by our bakers, but by the local farms we partner with for their amazing fruits and vegetables. We are an artisan bakery cafe with awesome coffee, sandwiches, salads, pastry, and of course, bread!

Stopped here for a quick bite. Has outdoor sitting. Ordered tomato soup with 1/2 grilled cheese for just $9.99, which was good, and a nice avocado sandwich. Ample parking available. Will go back.

I don’t understand the location. I never been to Hartford baking Co before even living near the Glastonbury location. Price shock at first but after I ate it I understood why. Sausage egg sandwich is probably the best I ever ate. Sausage was home ground and delicious. everything tasted fresh. The cinnamon bun was excellent!

We love HBC! I’ve loved the West Hartford location for years, and am so glad that one opened nearer to me. The food is delicious and made quickly. The manager very kindly moved all the frosted cookies around to get a pink one for my daughter! On our first visit they made me the wrong sandwich, and I didn’t notice until I’d already started eating it, but when I asked about it they immediately made me a replacement (and the first one was still really tasty). Also appreciate the drive through!

We wen to the new location in South Windsor. The restaurant is clean, roomy and the staff is friendly and professional. We had a very tasty chicken Caesar wrap and a nice cup of tomato basil soup that conveniently came not too hot. My wife had a hot mocha and I had an iced mocha, both perfectly made to order.

Amazing bakery with tons of options for breakfast lunch and dinner. This will be my new go-to place for lunch and baked goods. We had an unbelievable grilled cheese (one of the best I’ve ever had) and delicious chicken salad which i added their sweet Sriracha sauce to. We took home some pastries and bread that were so delicious and at a reasonable price for the quality. So glad to have this place nearby now.

Love visiting the Glastonbury location so I had to make sure to check out the South Windsor one too! Everyone was so sweet and made my order quickly and efficiently! My sandwich was amazing and my iced latte was delicious. The location is great and there is a lot of seating inside!!
