Mcgriddles and Mcmuffins are always good. Service was quick and kind! The tables and seats were pretty clean and there was a good amount of seating. Bathrooms were pretty clean as well. I came in with a friend at about 8:30 in the morning and the inside was empty. Everyone was taking the drive thru. Go inside in the mornings and it’ll be quicker for ya. McDonald’s is always a good spot to drop by!

No McDonald’s is perfect, especially in modern times where the most basic customer services like greeting and acknowledging customers is a thing of the past, this location differs. Ive yet to have an incorrect order, and they’re relatively quick. Compare this with their next nearest McDonald’s in Arcata, where the opposite of everything I just said is true.
The extra five minute drive to McKinleyville’s McDonald’s is worth it for proper service and prepared food.

They only serve one car at a time through the drive thru. So you will have to wait to order until the car at the window gets their food. I dont recommend ordering curbside pickup as you won’t get your food. They will completely ignore your order.

If you’re going to be so anal as to remember and literally charge a card separately for every single sauce, please actually put the sauce in the bag. I know it sounds stupid, but this happens every single time I go to any establishment ever these days. I have to say something at this point. I called after getting home to tell them they charged me and failed to even get the sauce in my bag and they literally told me there was nothing they could do other than I come back and spend my time and gas and let my food get cold to come get the sauces. No girl, the LEAST you could do is comp my $7 food. Customer service is such a no-brainer. I’ve done it for over ten years. I would be in so much trouble at any job I ever worked at if I ever failed at something this simple and then offered no solution. Absolutely pathetic.

Food was good (what you would expect for McD’s) hash browns came out after food (almost forgotten) but bathrooms were less than stellar. Both stalls in the women’s restroom were completely out of toilet paper. Tough, we were just passing through the area on our way to the redwoods. Parking is critical for us when we are hauling our camper. If they step up their game (and cut out all the shop talk… the kid manager thinks very highly of himself and let’s the teen staff know it) this could be a decent McD’s.

It’s…a MacDonald’s. Used to be some value calories with predicable tastes. Now prices have gone to the moon. But oh well, we still occasionally hit one, but only for road trips.

This McDonalds was a bit weird because there wasn’t a soda machine, self serve sauces or accessible bathrooms. Appears they have a homeless problem. They were a bit short staffed and so we did have to wait a lot longer than normal even though we were the only ones in the store. Wasn’t too big of a deal but could’ve been if we were more pressed for time on our road trip.
