Found this place while on our vacation & it was so delicious! The ceviche was so fresh & had such a unique sweet citrus flavor to it! The Ahi Tuna nachos were also very fresh and flavorful with an amazing sauce over top.

The mango fish tacos with the catch of the day (red snapper) with slaw was super light but filling & had lots of flavor!

It was such cute little outdoor patio with a food truck, views to the chefs preparing our food! I definitely recommend!

The fish wings!!!!! Incredible! Yellow snapper with mashed taro- so so good. The chef!!!! He is an undiscovered genius. The food is very thoughtfully prepared and presented. His kitchen is spotless, he and his sous chef work in perfect harmony. Get a table in front of the kitchen so you can watch the magic. The service is top notch. The staff is quick, efficient and very attentive. This is beautiful little restaurant on the side of the road. The traffic is a detractor, but the ambiance is actually wonderful. We came here 2 times in 2 days- absolutely the freshest and best food around!

This is the place to eat if you want real fresh seafood. Stopped on our way out from El Yunque and everything we ordered was amazing!! The atmosphere is very comfortable as it is basically fine dining but from a food truck, so it is the perfect place to go whether your coming from the beach, a hike, or dressed for dinner. We had the wonton nachos, ceviche with mango, dorado with malanga mash, grilled octopus, and octopus salad for everyone to share. The group favorites were the dorado fillet with malanga mash and the wonton nachos, although everything was delicious. The juices were fresh, the service was attentive and quick, and there is a bar next door where you can order alcohol. Nicole and the sous-chefs were very detail oriented and knowledgeable about the origin and preparation of the food, discussed the menu with us at length and provided great recommendations. Thank you for your amazing service, we had a great experience and feel like we found a new gem on the island 🙂
Nicole also told us their starter story and mentioned that they have other restaurants open in Isla Verde, both with the same menu and one with a more fine dining vibe (Laut by Jorge Lopez Stella)

This little “hole in the wall” (really a roadside food truck with covered tables) was superb. I highly recommend the Wonton Nachos- best nachos this 73 year old has ever had! My 3 companions had the Fish Tacos, while I had the Filet of the day. The Cheesecake was creamy with a hint of coconut- ¡muy rico!

So delicious and fresh! Gabriel made wonderful suggestions and we loved our meal so much. Highly recommend the ceviche with coconut and lime and the grouper if it’s the fish of the day!

We may have had the best meal of our entire Puerto Rico trip here–and it’s tucked away right off the highway. Don’t judge this place by its location or exterior. While it may look modest from the outside, El Oceanu Tu Mesa is clean, well-lit, and offers warm, attentive service that immediately makes you feel welcome.

I ordered the mango fish tacos, and they were absolutely phenomenal–fresh, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. My wife had the catch of the day (snapper) and declared it “the best fish she’s ever had”–high praise from someone who eats a lot of seafood. We also shared the spicy ahi tuna nachos, which were bold, fresh, and incredibly flavorful.

Bonus: there’s a spot next door where you can purchase alcohol and bring it into the restaurant if you’d like a drink with your meal.

If you’re visiting the eastern part of the island, this place is an absolute must-visit.
Pro tip: call ahead and make a reservation–this hidden gem fills up fast for a reason.

The best restaurant on the island. You will not be disappointed with anything on their menu as they take great care using fresh ingredients that you can taste. Located on the side of the road, this location has ample parking and a bar next door for some cocktails. The wait staff are kind and generous and Gabriel and Nicole are absolutely fabulous. Nicole is an owner and cares about your experience from start to finish.

When we visit Puerto Rico and are close enough, we try and dine here each day they are open.

We ordered the fish tacos and wow so yummy and delicious and served with either French fries or sweet potatoe fries
Both are great but the sweet potato is a nice touch. Leaves you craving more and we will be back day after day. Highly recommend you try them with some extra passionfruit aoli.

Next we ordered the wonton nachos with Ahi Tuna and wow every bite is a burst of flavor.

Next the ceviche with coconut lime sauce. Served with taro chips and so light and refreshing.

Now for an arepa to remember. We ordered the shrimp arepa and its packed full and so delicious.

Lastly we ordered the mahi Mahi filet served over mini potatoes with onions and olives in a tomato broth. Wow, would not have thought the pairing would work but it truly does.

Go enjoy the ocean on your table and say hi to Nicole and Gabriel and the master chefs here.

We were told about this restaurant by an employee at our hotel (Wyndham Grand Rio Mar.) Wow, were we impressed!! We live right outside NYC and are used to top quality food. This was incredible! The freshest fish! He told us the chef catches the fish in the morning and cooks it at night. It sure tasted like it! The service was just as great, Rosa was lovely and had good suggestions as to what to order. We’d definitely return here!!!

Incredible food, service and vibes. The ceviche, the tacos, everything. Fresh, fresh, fresh.

If you have the time and you’re staying at one of the nearby hotels, you should make the short drive. Hell, even if you’re staying on another part of the island, this is worth the drive. It’s that good. Two months later, I’m still thinking about the food.

I bought a small bottle of their in-house hot sauce to take home. Every time I see it in the fridge, I’m reminded of the food.

Very nice place on the side of the road. Parking was slightly confusing but the food was amazing. The Octopus Arepa had a beautiful balance of tenderness and crispness. Flavor was thoughtfully paired. All ingredients were fresh and they even took the time to plate each dish.
