My girlfriend and I grabbed drinks and happy hour food by the bar..
Place was very busy on Friday night.
Japanese rolls and Kani salad were ok.
Service took long time bc they were extremely busy. Great value for happy hour!

Nice restaurant but pretty busy and lots of genZ there. Make sure you make a reservation in advance. Food is good but small portioned there. Service is ok but not the best, I’m guessing it’s because it’s very busy.

Quite possibly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. Food was served in a timely manner and don’t get my started on how delicious it was. The flavors had my tastebuds doing dance moves i didn’t know they could do. The multitasking abilities from the servers were superb and they didn’t let the booth naps get in the way. Overall such an amazing experience and i highly recommend you give this place a try.

This is a very pretty restaurant. The service is good. They have good lunch specials. They also have a full bar. The prices are reasonable. Just be aware that they close for about an hour and a half at 3pm.

Absolutely phenomenal sushi experience. Every bite was fresh, beautifully prepared, and clearly made with care—from the melt-in-your-mouth sashimi to perfectly balanced rolls. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, and the service really set this place apart. Special shoutout to Tommy Fang, who made the experience unforgettable with his attention to detail and genuine hospitality. You can tell this restaurant takes pride in what they do. Can’t wait to come back—easily one of my favorite sushi spots.

Fresh sushi with quality ingredients and neat presentation. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, and prices are fair for the quality. A reliable choice when sushi cravings hit.

This place has really lost it. If I can give -5 to service I would. Instead of serving us or asking us if we needed anything, the server and staff were too busy cleaning. They forgot we were sitting at the table and no one ever came or made eye contact. The whole place smelled like cleaning detergent because they were mopping while people were eating. Absolutely standard less and disgusting service. Used to love this place and now I don’t think I will ever be going back.

We have been to Miko many times in the past, but I have to agree with a few other reviews that say this restaurant is going downhill quickly. First, the service is sub par with all of the staff seeming like they have checked out or could care less. They took our order and after the food came out (eventually) no one ever came back to check in. No water offered, no refills on our sodas and it took us asking for the check four times before they finally gave it to us.

The food was pretty bad overall. The shrimp in the American Dream roll was cold and chewy and my wife’s Rock n’ roll tasted off with a very fishy taste.

Now here is my biggest problem. This place has turned into what seems like a school yard with unruly and bratty kids just running all over, banging on plates and yelling…all without any regard for other diners or where they are. And no, we weren’t in the “Sesame Street” Hibachi area in the back, this was in the main dining room. Now, this is obviously a result of the inept parents of today that have no idea how to discipline their kids or even just teach them basic manners. If you are reading this as parent of snotty kids, it’s not cute in any way, it’s obnoxious. As a manager or staff of Miko, you are allowed to tell kids or their clueless parents that kids are not allowed to run around a restaurant. Yes, this may cause some gasps from the entitled Plainview/Syosset moms, but too bad. It’s not Chucky Cheese, everyone should act accordingly, including your nightmare kids!

Nice, quiet atmosphere minus the pounding at the sushi station. Service depends on who you get… The gentlemen tends to be more attentive and friendly while the female wait staff is the complete opposite. Waited over 10 min before being greeted (very loose term since her face was angry, no smile just “hurry up say what you want” attitude) at the table. We placed the order and I made sure to repeat it twice (still got one of the roll wrong)… She never came back at all. Had to ask other staff for things! Food… Mushroom soup is a definite NO…. No flavor at all except for the fried shallots at the bottom… Hot and sour soup would be a good choice! (Don’t worry… Not hot or sour!). Today’s rice on the roll was super chewy and sticky… Unlike other times we have it… The eel was extra fishy… The sushimi is still good minus the extra BRIGHT red tuna…. This place is always a gamble.. good one time and blah the next!
