What a unique experience this place has, with delicious food and friendly service!
I enjoy the cherry and cheese Danish. I had to cheat; it looked so good.
I promise most of the things on the menu are healthy.
They are mainly a catering organization, but they have plenty of seats in the tent out front.

I had the chance to check out Saladelia Café during their soft opening, and it was seriously awesome. Owner Feda’s super friendly vibe made me feel right at home as soon as I walked in—so welcoming and clearly really passionate about bringing fresh Mediterranean flavors to the community.
The menu was pretty great, with lots of tasty options, and everything I tried was really fresh and thoughtfully made. The chicken salad was super flavorful and filling but still light, which was perfect. Their tiny dessert bites were a cute touch—small, pretty, and full of flavor without being too sweet.
Gotta mention their coffee, too—it was rich, smooth, and locally sourced, which shows their commitment to quality and supporting the community. The staff was really kind and attentive, taking time to explain the dishes, making the whole experience feel even more personal.
The location is super convenient, making it a great spot for a quick, fresh, tasty bite without any hassle. French Beef Panini was sooo good I gave Feda a hug for the win!
Overall, Saladelia Café is starting off really strong. Friendly service, delicious food, and a cozy vibe—I’m excited to see this place become a go-to spot for locals.

Been going to Saladelia for years. The food and service have always been outstanding. But for the life of me I can’t understand their decision to move to their current location. First of all, it’s not all that easy to access. You must enter via a service road which is only accessed from one end. All of the seating is outside with the exception of a single table inside. There is no more self-serve drink machine. In fact, I was charged $3 for an 8 oz glass bottle of Coke! Really? There is now only a single bathroom. When they were located off University Drive, the place was packed with customers. It used to be fun to go there but so much anymore.

I had been wanting try Saladelia, and I finally got the chance. I got the chicken salad sandwich melt. It was so delicious! I also got the basil pasta which I also enjoyed. The serving size is great for the price. I’ll definitely be dining there again

Absolutely the perfect place for a lunch. In an unexpected location just off of 15/501 it is still convenient to shopping but somehow feels secluded. The patio is a really nice touch and is always clean and cozy.
I almost always get the Turkey pesto wrap but the chicken souvlaki is also great and the selection of small items is amazing. It’s a Durham staple for me!
Update for new location!
I actually love the convenience of the new location and the patio size is really nice! The food is still just as delicious and the staff is friendly and fast as always!

All in all good experience. Walking in the atmosphere is very clean and tidy. The cashier was very friendly and helped find what I was looking for on the menu. I appreciate the fact that she acknowledged I was kind of in a rush and got my food out pretty quickly. I ordered the Greek salad no chickpeas add olives and add grilled chicken Togo. I was a little frustrated that the pita points were very well done but I’m assuming they’re supposed to replicate croutons. The salad came in the circular bowl pictured I didn’t love that I had to disassemble and cut everything then reassemble but it was well worth it. The salad is very tasty, fresh, and flavorful. The vinaigrette that came with the salad is delicious. I am a very satisfied customer and will be back to try a sandwich soon. My total was about 16$. This was a dinner salad so very reasonably priced.

A Hidden Gem in Durham for Mediterranean Cuisine
This place is hands down one of the best food spots in Durham! The food is consistently outstanding, with a wide array of options to cater to vegetarians and those with other dietary preferences. Whether you’re craving something fresh, flavorful, or indulgent, they’ve got you covered.
Their desserts? Always a hit! Every single time, they hit that perfect balance of sweet and just the right amount of decadence.
We’ve also ordered platters for events multiple times, and they never disappoint. The variety and quality are top-notch, making it the perfect choice for gatherings.
If you’re in the area, it’s a must-try!

When places say “fresh baked” I’m sceptical, but the food here is legit fresh. The chocolate chip scone tastes like it just came out of the oven. Menu also has lots of vegan friendly options which is hard to find around here and everything is clearly labeled if it is vegan. Will definitely be back!!!

This establishment only has one table with eight chairs inside. There was an internal staff meeting being held at the only table even though the business office was empty.

My wife and I have always enjoyed dining at Saladelia, so it was with surprise and deep disappointment that we encountered an issue with our most recent order: two chicken kabob platters. Upon tucking into our meal, we discovered that the chicken was raw on the inside, a sight that would unsettle anyone, but was particularly concerning as my wife is currently pregnant. We called the restaurant and they offered for us to bring it back to “cook it more”, but we opted to just getting our many back instead. Saladelia has always been one of our go-to spots, but this incident has led us to question their food safety standards. We truly hope that they address this seriously and reassess their food preparation practices to ensure this never happens again. For now, we’re heartbroken that we may need to find a new favorite Mediterranean restaurant.
