I’ve been a fan of Sonny’s Pizza Den in Maryland Heights ever since my first taste, and I can’t say enough good things about it! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, friendly atmosphere. Owner James truly embodies the spirit of hospitality; he makes everyone feel like family.
The pizza here is nothing short of amazing! The crust is perfectly crispy, the toppings are fresh, and the cheese is melty and flavorful. I particularly love their signature pies – each bite is packed with deliciousness. Plus, the variety on the menu means there’s something for everyone, whether you’re in the mood for classic pepperoni or something a bit more adventurous.
What sets Sonny’s apart is their commitment to quality and service. James and his team go above and beyond to ensure every customer leaves happy. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food.

Cozy neighborhood eatery that hits all the marks: wide menu (pizza, pasta, burgers, sandwiches, salads), comfortable setting, friendly service, and tasty food. Good prices, great daily specials! Check out the booths — repurposed church pews! One note: it’s located down a flight of stairs, so keep that in mind.

Stopped for lunch at Sonny’s Pizza Den in the old Balducci’s spot on Bennington Place.
We had the raised dough crust which was between a thin crust and deep dish. Slightly sweet and fluffy with a nice chew.
Ordered SMO for toppings and they were really good tasting.
Sauce was light and fresh tasting.
Really good pizza and friendly people.
We will be back.

We ordered the da Vinci. It’s a giant pizza. My daughter got potstickers, which were surprisingly good for a pizza restaurant and the garlic cheese bread is top-notch. Dinner tonight was perfect.

Got take out. The pizzas were pretty good. Got the florentine special. The issue is that they said it would be ready in 30 minutes, but when I arrived in 30 minutes, I had to wait another 30 minutes. It was a Saturday night, and they were fairly busy, but several others were also waiting for pickup orders. I know they recently opened, but they need to be better organized it seemed fairly chaotic when I was there.

Ordered chopped salad, wings and pizza. They were all great and we really enjoyed our dinner! Also the server was lovely. Glad to have a good restaurant in that location. We will be back.

All of the staff are very warm and friendly. The food was so good. Wings, garlic cheese bread, t-rav’s, chicken bacon ranch sandwich, salad and pizza were all really good. The sauce is amazing. Everything very reasonably priced, and made with fresh ingredients. The service was the best that we have had anywhere in a long time. They made my little guy’s birthday super special. We can’t wait to come back!
