We had an early dinner after appointments in Palm Springs. There were only 2 other customers at the time so was very quiet. Waitress was excellent, coming back twice without complaint because we were talking more then looking at the menu. She was very helpful explaining different choices we asked about.
Food was served promptly and excellent in presentation & taste.
She came back to see if we needed anything else a couple of times and waited until she was sure we were finished without rushing as soon as we pushed the plates away. She left the check assuring us there was ” no rush”. Even asked if we wanted drink refills after leaving the check.

Fantastic little spot for some truly authentic Mexican food. The chips and pico de gallo are perfect, the watermelon Agua Fresca is refreshing, and the carnitas is to die for and the chicken tacos are also great. Will absolutely be coming back.
Note: Service is a 4/5 due to forgetting a requested side of tomatoes for the tacos. Otherwise perfect.

Excellent authentic Mexican food, wonderful service, superb menu. Delicious food, starters (guacamole dip), excellent fried tacos, rice and beans, drinks, quesadillas. Great interior and decor, ambience.

This is the original location of Las Palmas. They have another location in Yucca Valley. I like both locations. They have good food and great service. We stopped in this location to compare it to the YV location and it is essentially the same thing. Food is consistent between the two locations. It was nice and cool inside considering how hot it was outside. They’v got a great selection of food, and it was all fresh and delicious. Our waitress was extremely friendly and kept our drinks full without having to ask for refills. Their prices are good for what you get. Thanks to the staff for a nice experience in Desert Hot Springs. We will be back when we are in your area.

I’ve been going here for years and have never had a bad experience. Good service, great food, and usually have somone playing music on their busy days. Taco tuesday is a great deal they do get pretty busy though so be patient.

This restaurant can use improvement in all kinds of ways. Too much to list. Looks like someone lost caring for their business. Could use an exterior/interior update and updated revamped menu. Felt like they were trying to serve “old people” quality of food because that’s what was there in house tonight. My Cadillac Margarita was off and tasted too strong. It is what it is. Too bad as it could be so much better. I’ve eaten Mexican food all over California and this place ranks low on my list.

This is definitely one of the gems of desert hot springs. Full atmosphere with the paintings on the floor and on the ceilings. Great food, great variety and great authentic mexican flair.

My husband and I come to this restaurant every time we visit Desert Hot Springs and have never been disappointed. Today we had the chicken and beef fajitas combo for 2 and seafood salad – both were very tasty as usual. Service was fast. They gave us free tortilla chips with homemade salsa as soon as we sat down. The pictures do not do the justice as they were taken after we had started eating. We were so glad this place survived the pandemic.

So y’all, simply, everyone just needs to come out here. Great food feat. The best guacamole I’ve ever had in my life, amazing live music (my baby could not take her eyes off of Rico, neither could we), delicious house margaritas and friendliest staff. I’d def come back here on my next visit to Palm Springs area! Please treat yourself and go to this place!
