Highly disappointed, and no not with the staff a the staff is phenomenal. The food is where the problem is. To be fair, the pancakes themselves are really good BUT PJ’s Pancake House fails with the rest. Coffee – mediocre at best, and for such a pricy location, it would be great to add flavors other than “decaf or regular” lattes or cappuccino. The coffee is more like water than actual coffee – so for that the coffee gets a 3 out of 10. Pancakes are great, but other places for the price at least add sugar powder and much better quality syrup so for that 7.5 out of 10. Bacon and sausage were old and cold, so for that – 1 out of 10! Cutlery and water vase/water glass are all cheap plastic that has a million lashes (lol) – old and beat up. Hence for the water vase, water cups, and dinnerware – PJs gets a 0 out of 10. This is where PJs falls flat on their face — Canned apples for such a pricy location AND “SMUCKERS!” as their choice of honey and jams?! PJs, COME ON! You can do way better ESPECIALLY for the price. For this reason, this PJs gets a 2 out of 10. This is what we call in the business – “Cutting corners to profit for the short term but lack the quality to stay afloat for the long-run”. The few times I have come to this location show that others feel the same as this location is usually empty. Other pancakes restaurants are at another level while this franchise or at least this location falls behind. For 1 stack of pancakes, 1 “two-fer” breakfast, and 2 watered-down coffees — $50! I was better off going to McDonalds. Sorry PJs but for the above, I will not be returning. There are too many options out there that I’d rather spent $50 at.

Mixed experience at this restaurant.

Starting with the downside—based on friends’ recommendations, I visited for brunch with my kids. The place was packed, and while I waited at the counter, I noticed that the two servers on duty were working hard to accommodate everyone. However, they were so busy that it took 5–10 minutes before we were even acknowledged.

Now, the good part—once we got a table, the service improved significantly. The servers were warm, courteous, and quick to assist with our order. The food not only looked great but also tasted delicious!

Overall, while the initial wait was frustrating, the quality of the food and the friendly service once seated made up for it.

Service was great! Food was delicious and servings were large. Most of what we got was in their 2-Fer meal, which was a pretty great deal. Their hot chocolate was amazing and I highly recommend the buttermilk pancakes!

Very Overrated Princeton chain that price gouges in every opportunity. Prices are 50% more than they should. All in a space w cheap, sterile interior in the style of a house-flipped airbnb.

The good. The service was quick friendly and accommodating, despite mixed reviews on this from others. The food was standard nice diner food that you’d be happy to eat. Nothing too fancy nothing too cheap. The pancakes however did remind me of standard boxed pancakes. All good and fine, just not high quality. Which is fine if the price reflects it. However.

The price gouging is ridiculous here and reflects a take-what-I-can mentality by the owners. Prices are 50+% higher than they should. Omelets start at $20 for the same stuff that is $12-13 elsewhere. Then they find extra tack-on required fees. Oh you want to pay with a card? +3.5%, and they even try to make extra money than what credit card fees even are. Time to tip? 18% is the minimum suggested.

The environment reminds me of an airbnb place that uses cheap stuff that is meant to look modern in pictures – chintsy and fake. Meant for cheap flipping. No real character or honesty.

I’m not a fan at all of places like this. It’s this kind of business ‘model’ and taking approach that is degrading restaurant culture in this country.

The food was great. Everything was fresh and delicious . I had bagel toasted with pastrami and 2 scrambled eggs. A bowl of fruits and my man got the banana golden waffles with 2 egg and sausage and bacon. I got a strawberry smoothie and he got a apple juice. I recommend this place!!

The menu options was impressive and really excited us to our core. The prices per plate
ran from $18+!!!

The “Indian Ramen Skillet” sounded amazing in theory — I imagined a dry, seasoned, baked ramen dish with some crispy edges and spice. What I got was the complete opposite: a cold skillet pan used as a plate, filled with bland, soupy cup-o-noodles topped with raw peppers, onions, and an overdone fried egg… that’s it… not even a spoon. For $21, you’re better off buying a skillet, a 20-pack of ramen, and some veggies from the grocery store a couple shops down — or better yet, go next door for an actual bowl of authentic ramen at half the price.

The “Pancake Sampler” was the only highlight. Those were delicious — stick to pancakes if you go… for $20!!!

The “Avocado Toast with Bacon and Egg” was another letdown: the egg was overcooked, the chopped bacon was flavorless (not sure how that’s even possible), and the rye bread was fine, but not worth the calories or price.

Prices overall are outrageous — $71 for three meals, two cups of joe… the meals weren’t even worth asking for a to-go container.

Service: the host and servers were polite, but with the restaurant only half full, they still ran out of coffee (we had to flag down the staff for refills) and we waited for the rebrew. The server apologized for the delay on both and said “the kitchen was backed up.”

Bottom line: I won’t be back unless it’s just for pancakes — and even then, $20 for a plate feels like a stretch. Again, very disappointed with almost everything besides the pancakes.

I have been to this pancake house 2 years back & again recently. Their pancakes are soft & fluffy. This place is a regular for a lot of locals. Will keep coming here to try all the options on the menu. We got the banana pancake and waffles with strawberries & cannoli cream. They were delicious.

Small little restaurant that gets busy quickly on the weekends. Food was great, I got the lox crepe which was delicious and a large serving. The grains and nuts pancake was delicious and less sweet which was what I was after. It came with a large container of butter and syrup.
Other people in my group got the salmon eggs Benedict and two pancakes. Service needs improvement, such as getting more water and asking if we needed anything else and with prices being on the high side, this was something really lacking.
Cappuccino was good but not hot like I asked for.

My husband and I had a fantastic breakfast yesterday. He had the omelet with pancakes and loved everything. I had the bananas foster caramel waffle, and it was the best waffle I’ve ever had! I also had a side of eggs over easy and they were delicious. Our server, Rita, was terrific in every way. She was very attentive, friendly, and kind. She went above and beyond. We will definitely be back!

A delicious restaurant for any meal of the day. We have eaten in and taken out on numerous occasions from PJ’s, and it never fails to impress. Favorites include the Peanut Butter Chip Pancakes, Chicken Caesar Wrap with Fries, and Mac & Cheese. Only downside is that it is pretty pricey, but personally, the quality outweighs the cost.
