Needing sustenance before a show at the Stratford festival and having picked up my mother in London, St. Mary’s seemed like a good place to stop. Needing gluten-free and vegetarian options for members of our company, Sunset Diner, fit the bill.
It was quite busy, and you might consider a reservation at the peak lunch and dinner hours, particularly for a larger group.
Among us, we had French toast (regular and GF), a BLT, a Crispy Chicken BLT Salad, and a Grumpy Burger. There were no leftovers in spite of generous portions.
The fries are very good!
For the portions and the quality, prices are reasonable given the inflation we’re all struggling with.
A great local restaurant to support!

During our walk on the Grand trunk trail my wife and I stopped in here for lunch one Saturday on the May long weekend. She ordered the crispy chicken wrap while I had the maple whiskey burger , both with fries. Her wrap was quite filling with lots of toppings and my burger was juicy and quite tasty , and the fries were cooked to perfection ! Her iced tea came in a glass while my pop was in a can and came with a glass of ice . The server was friendly and attentive and the service good considering it was quite busy . The washrooms are single occupancy and clean . I recommend and would eat here again .

Deep Fried Butter Tart! Hello! Amazing. We also had the cranberry chicken wrap and buffalo chicken wrap with fries. Great service – super friendly , cute spot.

We ordered fish and chips, and it was delicious. The fish was huge, neither of us could finish the plate. Coleslaw was a bit to mayoey for my taste, but tartar sauce was great. Fries was good too. A great experience overall. Looked like they were busy but the service was great! Will definitely go back to try the milkshake. There was an order of 9 when we were there so they must be good

Ive eaten here a few times. Definetly worth the price as the food is cooked fresh, portions are beyond fair & it tastes amazing . Love their gravy for fries here! Loved that i can order a cesar salade here & get good fresh lettuce that is not pink or brown. Western omlette is amazing. Their burgers taste pretty good. The food is probs best in town & i will definitely be getting food from here again. I also love the personal notes we get on our take out. Adds a bit of extra love & care w the food. You know like when your mom leaves you a note in your lunch.
