Boots & Brew merged with Up In Smoke BBQ on Oct. 19th 2023. The new owner said that he’s trying to make it feel more like a restaurant with a bar versus a bar with bar food.
It’s a nice local hangout spot, they offer live music and karaoke at night. Pickle fries with ranch were yummy, Nashville hot chicken tenders and fries were good but I personally like hot chicken a little more seasoned/spicier.
Excited to see what they have in store for their customers.

The food was awesome. I had the smash burger and fries, and these were some of the best fries I’ve ever had. They were very crispy but not burnt, and they were fluffy inside. The burger was crispy like a smash burger should be while still being juicy. Service was friendly and prompt, and we never ran out of drinks. Can’t wait to go back and try more of their offerings.

Boots and Brew is an excellent place to stop and have lunch or dinner at! Colton is an excellent cook! His onion straws are top notch, and the burger was even better! Also, the seasoning on the fries was out of this world!! Will definitely be back!!

This is a nice place and nice people! We went during the fall heritage festival so the menu was limited. I liked the pulled pork San which and the Cajun fries were good! I thought the tea needed a bit more sugar and the slaw and chicken tenders needed a bit more flavor personally. We will come back another time when they have a full menu and try a salad. Looking forward to it!

Wife and I had fried catfish for lunch 12-5-24. Best catfish I have eaten. Only topped by my uncle’s fried crappie but i have to consider that when he passed at 90, he had only been catching and frying them for 70+ years. Our server (Beth) was exceptional and should be the gold standard by which servers are judged. A truly delightful experience and I can assure you we will return on a regular basis. Originally recommended by the shop keeper next door. Now we have reason to visit Cowan and not wait until we go to Food City.

Felt like home, even that we came from Poland and different culture. Matt, the owner and his wife greeted us like we were locals and like we knew each others for years. That was so kind of them. It was mine and my friend birthday, and we stopped here totally by accident without any plan. It turned out great and we had so much fun! The bar has some hidden gem, but I won’t spoil it here in the review, come here by yourself and ask the owner what it is. Food was good price and delicious, drinks were tasty. They have bull riding and axe throwing, pool table and live music! Awesome place!
