Ordered the chimichanga, steak. Was so hot had to wait a few for it to cool down! Everything was great, chips and salsa, margarita, and the food. Definitely recommend!

Passing through town I stopped here and was so glad I did! The food, service and atmosphere are awesome. I had the tacos birria. They were flavor town to the max! The margs are very good as well. My food came out fast and hot. If I’m ever down that way again I definitely will stop!

My husband and I were in the mood for Mexican food. The Sol Del Mar has a great selection and the prices are reasonable. Both of us got a good meal. Their chips are always warm when they arrive at the table. They even gave me fresh when I said I wanted to take them home. Our total was under $35.00.

I think of a chimichanga as something different than what we were served. That wasn’t a chimichanga, and the meat wasn’t very tasty. The staff brought out very hot and tasty food for the birthday party for the other guests, however my wife and I felt the chimichanga wasnt as good as it should be.

This place is great, we stop here every time both ways from Chicago when we go south and back. Food is always great drinks and food is cheap. The dips and dip omg I take some home every time. If you are with in 30 mins of this place while traveling you have to try it. The place is huge but only a few staff. Can’t recommend it enough.
Update:09/05/2020 chips were fresh and good but salsa was not. Got a long Island and a frozen strawberry margaritas they were both not good. Food came out hot but it was like they just threw it on the plate. Very sad. Do to all this I have taken a star, we have been here ever time we are traveling and it has been amazing until today. On the way home I will try again and hope it was just a bad day.

I asked about the birria tacos before I ordered, these are just meat tacos just because you put roast beef or shredded beef in a tortilla doesn’t make it a birria taco. Save your money they don’t know how to make birria tacos , in texas at birria locos those are how birria should be made .

Hands down…. One of the best Mexican restaurants around! Big place. Big parking lot. Awesome people. I drive truck so I look forward to my going home indulgence and is finding great Mexican restaurants on my way back home. I think I’ve found it! The food was very very good. Chips and salsa is what you’d hope to get… Perfect. I ordered a Burrito Amigos and 2 tamales. My hat is off to the chef too because he’s pretty creative. I love what he/she did with the tamales. I ordered take out so this was perfect for me. Plenty of room to park my truck and then scoot down the street to eat. Next time I’ll probably dine in. The atmosphere inside is wonderful. I talked with the 2 you g men at the counter and both very polite and professional too. I can’t say enough about this placement I’m glad I finally found my Home Run goto place to eat. Oh… The price was perfect if you ask me. Thank you very much.

The food is authenticly delicious and served in large size, ensuring I will have leftovers to enjoy tomorrow. Staff is extremely friendly and attentive and the amount of time spent from entering to leaving isn’t much longer than dining in at a fast food restaurant!
