Having a delicious latte is our daily ritual, even when we travel, so we were delighted to discover Bird’s Nest on our recent visit to Estes Park. Their baked goods are made on location, and they also serve pizza, sandwiches, wraps, smoothies, juices, and what I came for, espresso beverages. Grace did a great job on all 6 of our drinks, and I enjoyed the cherry walnut biscotti which dunked nicely in my latte. They use beans from OZO COFFEE ROASTERS in Boulder and sell them in their shop. I liked it so much, I bought a bag to bring home.
They have indoor and outdoor seating, and a large room upstairs with comfortable seating and a great view. The upstairs room is available for private functions as it has plenty of seating, a bar, and two bathrooms.
When we figure out how we can live in Estes Park, we’ll be regulars at Bird’s Nest.
Try this place if you haven’t already. You’ll be glad you did.

It is a spacious and relaxing place with friendly staff. Sitting with a view of the Rocky Mountains adds a special touch and it is definitely worth seeing. It is a nice spot to spend some time. I just found the filter coffee a bit average and maybe that could be improved.

Let me tell you about the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had in my life. No exaggeration. It was flaky and not heavy, like a croissant. And the icing! It tasted like the best homemade cream cheese frosting I’ve ever tasted. My goodness. I will be driving the 2 hours one way to get it again.
And the natural light in this shop! Like wow!! It’s beautiful

Wife and I stopped after a full morning of hiking in RMNP for coffee and lunch.

Parking is maybe 15 spots and it was full when we got here. We parked next door and walked over.

Atmosphere is very cool inside. Lots of natural light and wood, as you might expect for the area.

Team was friendly, helpful, and service was pretty fast. We got a golden milk latte, peach pie latte, fig pizza, and a veggie wrap.

Coffee was smooth with good flavor, definitely enjoyed both drinks. Pizza was really excellent. Great mixture of flavors on a perfect thin crust. Veggie wrap surprised me and was also excellent.

Overall, no complaints. This was a great stop and we will be back!

Ordered a pizza to go – it was disappointing. It wasn’t busy when we picked up, the girl who helped was very nice but in regards to the actual pizza it was a let down. We ordered a 12 inch, mozzarella & pepperoni pizza. When we got home there was almost no pepperoni and the bottom was burnt but the dough was still soft to the point where the toppings were sliding off. (They rushed cooking it) We were already home so tried to keep an open mind but it was not worth $19. I wouldn’t order it again at all.

Love it ! $$$but great food. View was great. Down side was only one barista, it was a Monday and after a city event. She was happy friends and kept all orders coming even with a huge line. Would definitely try the pizza next time.

The Bird’s Nest baked our wedding cake and it was so delicious. We had email communication along the way and the cake matched our inspiration photos perfectly. The cake was even transferred over to their ‘sister’ restaurant, Bird and Jim, for our reception dinner. With us being from out of state, their willingness to do this was such a help.

The space is beautiful with the view of the mountain.
Our food, however was extremely disappointing. At $16 and $19, I was hoping for a little more flavor if not portion. These both tasted like they were thrown together hastily.
I wouldn’t get the sandwich here next time.

Always a nice stop here with amazing service. Pizza is solidly a 9 out of 10 but their breakfast and coffee are the standout. Gorgeous views from upstairs too!

Bird’s nest is a place of variety. Pastries, Coffee, and Pizza. It all looks decent, I got the biscotti, which they had an interesting take on, white chocolate and current!

I am one who enjoys coffee that is roasted in small batches and not over done with milk and sugar. This establishment feels like a ritzier Starbucks. I ordered a cappuccino and unfortunately the first red flag that I saw was the size options for cappuccino’s (typically, they come in a single size at my usual places I visit).

After drinking it, the cappuccino, unfortunately has the milk ratios of a latte. My wife ordered a golden milk latte which they did a stand up job with! Very well seasoned and they were able to work around her milk allergy! However, it is very disappointing when an establishment spends over $5k on an espresso machine and can’t make a decent cup of coffee but is able to capitalize on everything else.

The establishment itself has a beautiful view. Quiet, modern, and calm atmosphere. If you prefer a drop of coffee with your milk this is the place for you if you are a fellow coffee snob. Stick to the pizza.
