From the Hearth Kitchen and Pie Shop is a leading and cutting-edge restaurant in Northern California. We started out as an award-winning sourdough bakery, and have evolved into an upscale fast-casual restaurant. We have four restaurants (Kitchen & Pie Shops) and two drive-thru kiosks (Pie Shops) all of which serve handmade varietal pies, delicious burgers and sandwiches, fresh salads and rice bowls, and a unique breakfast menu with espresso and smoothie drinks. We pride ourselves in our excellent customer service and incredible dishes. We love what we do, but don’t take our word for it. The North State has voted us Best Bakery, Best Restaurant, and Best Lunch among other high honors.

I love the atmosphere and the coffee is decent. Had a pastry. My only complaint is that the wooden surface of tables are extremely Sticky and feels yucky…like how sanitary are these table tops, maybe it’s just me but would feel more comfortable if your napkins, cloth, paper and clothing didn’t stick. Just saying. That being said I absolutely love meeting friends here

Went in the afternoon to this location with a couple buddies. The lady at the front had recommended one of the bowls so I tried out the Chi Bowl. It tasted really good and was pretty healthy. Always nice having healthy options when dining! Will come back

Downtown Redding has came alive since last time I was here. The food was delicious and tofu is an option!!!! Wonderful sidewalk seating as well as a large indoor seating area. Super nice people and excellent food. That’s a review! Get over here

I usually visit the drive thru in Shasta Lake but I happened to be downtown and wander in here. This is such a cute shop. It smelled amazing when I walked in which is a plus lol. I got my usual iced caramel macchiato and added a croissant. Such a good decision. They have ample outdoor seating as well which was nice. The staff was super friendly, my cashier was training and she did an amazing job explaining everything to the person she was training. I will definitely go back when I am in the area.

Amazing service, staff was very helpful and nice. The French dip was the best one I’ve had in years, truly amazing flavor. The blended vanilla bean drink was perfect vanilla flavor without being to sweet. It was so good I had to purchase a second one prior to leave. I would highly recommend it.

Pastrami bowl is delicious, but I’m pretty agitated they didn’t think to include a to-go knife and napkins. The pastrami is very obviously too big to eat without cutting, and without a knife this becomes very messy. I’m eating this on the way to work, napkins were crucial. Only reason I’m not giving this a 3-star experience is because I like the food and the ambience but I’m pretty annoyed

I frequently eat at this location, and I have never once had a bad meal until last night. The salad was so bad that I couldn’t finish it. The dressing had an orange oil at the bottom of the plate and tasted horrible. The outside area was dirty, the tables were not cleared off and garbage on the floor. I really hate to complain or send food back. I usually enjoy eating here and love the atmosphere. Not sure what was going on, possibly new management? I was really disappointed.

Asked for items to be removed and all I got was the items asked to be removed. Asked to substitute steak with chicken, got no protein source at all! Ordered 2 cookies, received nothing! Tried to call in to have them fix and waited on hold 19 minutes before having to hang up. Will be finding another restaurant to spend my money
