At our Jonesborough, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Always a good place to stop and eat. This location is spacious and clean.

To stay on the “healthy” side, I recommend that you get broccoli in place of fries. But who am I kidding? The fries are delicious. You can also get grilled tilapia if fried food isn’t your thing.

The employees here are friendly and hard working. You’ll also see the same faces over the months, an indication that the management is working on a good work environment.

I use my phone to pay. It works on every Google tap to go credit card machine. The only one it does not work on is Captain D’s which means they probably do not have that service even though their machine says so. Talk to the GP and say he had like several things to work on. It sounded like and I said yes you do but evidently he can’t get it all fixed or he has been unable to

We were just before closing this past Saturday night. We entered the building and no one was in sight after several minutes a girl came from the back saying the cameras weren’t working and they didn’t see us come in. We placed our order and we’re served cold, burnt fish. The fries were cold and hard and my sons corn on the cob was also cold. Very disappointed in this visit.

Was supposed to get two lobster rolls, on hot dog buns, with lettuce. Received this crap, that tastes old and nasty. Our 3 piece fish, also only had two pieces and our fries were iced cold. That’s the last time we visit here.

I would like to take this time to reach out to the manager owners and corporate concerning a matter that really got under my skin what Karen so-called guy came in and decided to do his filming with his phone and acting like a complete idiot just know this to the manager we locals have got your back this Captain D’s has been spectacular and when people come in and try to change it then locals have a problem with that if you’re not happy with the service then leave and go back to where you came from

Went to the drive thru my order was incorrect I took it back and they were rude and hateful they did give me what was short on the order but food was cold and definitely not worth the $27 I spent portion was pitiful I would be ashamed to charge someone for what portion I received I definitely won’t be back and definitely will let people know about the place

I don’t think I have ever eaten at a Captain D’s, but my daughter and her family really like it for “fast food” seafood, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the chicken and fish meal deal with hush puppies, fries, and green beans. I didn’t care for the chicken at all (it was cooked Nickey, just not a flavor profile I cared for), the fish was excellent and the hush puppies and green beans were some of the best I have ever had in a restaurant. Next time I go, my order will be fish, extra green beans, and extra hush puppies.

Placed a mobile order which gives a very short wait time for pickup around 3-5 minutes I believe. I arrived to the drive thru after 5 or so minutes with 2 trucks infront of me. I’m told to pull to the window for my mobile order by a man. 1st truck took over 20 minutes to get his order. 2nd truck had waited 30 minutes by the time he got to the window and there was some arguing that ensued that resulted in him giving her a bag of food back through the window and getting his cash back from her. Finally I pull to the window and there is a woman working but she honestly doesn’t even seem like she has a clue what is going on at all, like she had never worked there a day in her life. She was nice enough even telling me she hoped I hadn’t been waiting long which is funny since it had been over 30 minutes so not exactly fast food… The food was edible but not worth the time or price certainly. Had to drop a review when I saw it had 4 stars cause definitely not from that experience.
