The Smokehouse is an old Montana lodge style restaurant with a fireplace burning in winter and a shady flower filled patio for summer outdoors dining. The huge lawn ia also a wonderful place for the kids to play with our bunnies and they love it. We have a full service bar with Belgian beers and local brews on tap, and a complete wine list.

This was an excellent choice for a Fourth of July dinner with my friends. Immediately we noticed the attention to detail, cute decorations, and large amount of outdoor seating. The food was incredible and our server was quirky and funny, and the bartender who sat us in her Fourth of July outfit was kind and had a smile to accommodate us even though we had 8 people and some kids.
The Prime Rib and the brisket were absolutely delicious, but I also really enjoyed the BBQ nachos and deviled eggs as well. The taste was smoky and delicious, and it really gave the feel of going to someone’s house and having a delicious home-cooked meal.
This place is a treasure I’d highly recommend for your next trip to Flathead Lake. I’ll be back for sure!

Room for improvement. Don’t get me wrong, we love eating here. The menu is pretty limited, but what they offer is always great. The decor is woodsy and cozy, as a smokehouse should be. I’ve given up on the cocktails. I was served an old fashioned with no simple syrup in it. A different bartender didn’t know what was in a Moscow Mule. Stick with beer or wine and you’ll be fine. It’s difficult to get knowledgeable bartenders, I get it. Wait staff is always on point. My biggest complaint is the music. It may seem strange but it really takes away from the feel of the place. You’ve got all of these earthy, smoky smells, wood decor, fireplace, old pictures on the walls, and the music is limited to the local radio station playing Asia, Chicago, or Starship on blown-out speakers. “We Built this City on Rock and Roll” or “Saturday, in the Park,” mixed with the local commercial don’t give the feel of being in a great restaurant in Montana. Pandora and Spotify are free, folks. Can we please get some old school country, Bad Company, Bob Seger, CCR, Eagles? John Lee Hooker or Muddy Waters? I know everyone has their own tastes, but the music just seems so out of place.

The food was amazing! Loved the kabobs and the brisket. Especially enjoyed that the owner took time from his busy schedule to share the history of the restaurant. In addition, the restaurant is a member of Harvest Host and allowed us to spend the night in the grassy area next to the restaurant. Enjoyed seeing the local bunnies. We will be back again.

Had reservations. Got our drink order taken then didn’t see waiter again for 20 or so minutes put in our order no return to check on our drinks or when dinner would be ready after over an hour went up to the bar to find our waiter and ask. He went back to check then was another 10 or so minutes. No check back on if anything was needed. All we asked on one order was butter for baked potato came with no butter. Asked another waitress who was very rude rolled her eyes and said ya ill get some 10 minutes no butter. Got up to find our waiter couldn’t find him. Gad to ask for our ticket. Absolutely horrible service!!!! Will never go back.

The atmosphere is so beautiful and the owners are so kind. The staff are very good. As you see in the pictures the food is wonderful. I had the BBQ pulled pork dressed with coleslaw and homemade chips. The dessert was banana split and marshmallows drizzled with brandy. I like coming here because it is calming and just look at the picture of the whimsical patio. I love this place. The drive out here on Highway 35 along Flathead Lake is so nice.

Had a great dinner here after exploring the area for the day! Husband had ribs and a loaded baked potato and I had the marry me chicken fettuccine both were amazing. I believe our server forgot to put in the appetizer we requested because it never came out but it was also not on the bill but it worked out in the end because we were stuffed from the food we got. Server was really nice and the patio was great! Flies are a little heavy outside, it would be nice if they could add some fans to help with that. Other than that, it was a great experience!

What a great restaurant and staff! Beautiful relaxing patio!! Anna, our food server was sweet, professional and very accommodating. The head chef gave us some information about the area on his way in to work. My husband and I utilized the Harvest Host camping program which allowed us to relax and enjoy our dinner and drinks and walk “home” to our RV. Our first time in Montana and East Shore Smoke House made it a wonderful experience. Thank you!!

A lovely location, friendly staff, but…many of our group chose brisket, Friday special. Why choose anything else if the brisket tastes as advertised? Alas, the sides were OK, but the brisket was too dry. Dry enough to make you drink more water. No moisture. It cut easily, but that’s not the point.

WOW, Drive by this place all the time and for some reason I never stopped. What a mistake. This establishment is really a quaint little place. Very rustic atmosphere that you have to check out for yourself. I would highly recommend stopping by and having Dinner. The prices are a little bit higher but well worth it! Staffing is extremely friendly. Check out the bar in the back. Great bartender. Also dinning in doors and a very nice outside seating area
