We had an amazing experience here. The food was authentic, savory, flavorful, and incredibly well balanced.
The crispy pork belly was perfectly cooked with a crunchy golden skin and tender, juicy meat inside. Paired with rice and dipping sauce, every bite was rich and satisfying.
The chicken adobo was just as impressive — tender chicken simmered in a deeply flavorful sauce with the perfect balance of savory and tangy. You can really taste the depth of the dish.
And the halo-halo dessert was the perfect finish. Refreshing, colorful, and full of different textures and flavors that make every spoonful exciting.
What truly made the experience stand out was the owners. They were incredibly kind and attentive, always checking in and making sure everything was perfect. They took the time to explain each dish and even shared some Filipino background behind the food.
The recipes come from the wife’s personal family recipes that have been passed down through generations, and you can really taste the authenticity and care in every dish.
Between the amazing food and the 5-star customer service, this place is something special. Highly recommend.

They really live up to a 5/5 rating and the spoken reviews. Excellent portions, flavors, and customer service! What a gem!!!
We came in around 12:30pm on a Saturday. It was pretty busy but we did find a table. You have to order at the front first. They run food for you if it comes out of the kitchen but sometimes they may ask you to come up to the front if you order from the display front.
For two people, we ordered quite a lot because we decided if we can’t finish it here, we’ll take it back to our hotel for later that night.
I am so awed in every cuisine. My favorite has to be crispy pork belly. The way they fried it condensed the fat out of the pork so it’s mostly lean pork. The skin is soooo crispy and I love the dipping sauce! They also give twice amount of pork here than other Thai/Hmong places for similar price. They are very fair and we would totally come back again!! I’m so happy to find this Filipino restaurant.

Kusina is hands down the best spot for authentic Filipino cuisine! Every dish tastes like home — rich, flavorful, and cooked with so much heart. From their perfectly crispy lumpia to the savory adobo and spaghetti that’s packed with flavor, you can tell everything is made with love and tradition.
We recently had Kusina cater for my Hmong boyfriend’s birthday party, and everyone couldn’t stop raving about the food! Communication was the best as well and they are able to respond my emails. The presentation was beautiful, the portions generous, and the service outstanding. They made the whole process easy and stress-free.
If you’re looking for true, authentic Filipino flavors and warm hospitality, Kusina is the place. Whether dining in or catering a big celebration, they deliver every single time. Highly recommend — you won’t be disappointed! ❤️

Recipes created by the original owner passed down to the daughter who is catering to all the patrons with a smile. It makes our visit very welcoming and she goes above and beyond by answering all quest we have. We had a combo appetizer and a beef with coconut flavor. They have my favorite siswi only on Saturdays. Very tasty and definitely will come again and try the other options on the menu.

I contemplated on giving it a 4 but the food didn’t meet the expectations and the price was a bit high for it. It was mainly a Panda Express style for your food selection with some options to order for the kitchen to make. The chicken adobe was bit bland with too much salt and the rice was a bit soggy. Lumpia was the best thing I ate there, the noodles were ok. Vibe was great and the theme captured the culture of the Philippines which was impressive; place was clean as well. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t tasteful and needs an update on their seasoning with less salt. The staff were friendly. Unfortunately, I had to score for what I had; maybe, others had a better experience of the food on another day or had another dish.

The family that owns/operates are wonderful people who put a lot of love into what they do. I came to try the halo halo and it was so delicious with many creamy flavors and textures. The husband shared a story about the meaning but I dont want to spoil it for you. He also shared a tid bit about what goes into his home made ube ice cream which is the best ice cream ive ever ate. I am not just saying that. It was a very unique and wonderful experience. I was honored to share a hug with his wife who doubles as chef, she was warm and welcoming and said told me i came as a friend and left as family. Even when I originally placed my order after a long drive, I was met with a bright smile from a kind young man who asked me how my day was. I cant wait to come back.

This was my first time at the restaurant. The food was delicious and was served quickly. The owners are so sweet and took time to explain the different goods. We had ordered Lumpia Shanghai, Pancit Bam, Lechon Kawali and Halo Halo. Everything was delicious, but we especially enjoyed the flavor and crispness of the Lechon Kawali (pork belly). The Halo Halo was a delicious treat. I’m definitely going back again. I highly recommend this awesome Filipino restaurant.

Such a welcoming and hospitable restaurant. The owners work within the establishment and make everyone who enters feel at home. And let’s not talk about the food! Wow, so fresh and delicious. I live in cottage grove and drive 35 min just for their chicken adobo. They have a forever customer in me! Please don’t hesitate to check out this amazing Filipino restaurant, they are a gem in our state!

I rarely feel so at-home the minute I walk into a restaurant, but this place is cozy, beautiful, and has *excellent* food. Though they are closed from now (post-Thanksgiving 2025) into the second week of 2026 for extended travel back to the Philippines, I’m so glad they’ll reopen after the holidays so I can bring others. Everything was delicious, including the stew, the various meats we ordered, the rice and noodles. Comforting and well-seasoned, with warm service. The halo halo was also really good, sweet but not overly so, and is clearly a draw for others, as I saw several get ordered while I was there. Makes sense, given the homemade ube ice cream and cocoflan it uses. Highly recommend making the effort to try this place, especially for those who might normally not try food due to worry about “spice” – there’s flavor but no heat here, but even as a spice-lover I found a lot to love. Looking forward to coming back soon!
