The story of Em begins with the story of our Chef, Ly Nguyen. Chef Ly grew up on the outskirts of an idyllic small town in Khanh Hoa, Vietnam, about 50 miles north of the Nha Trang. Raised on a farm where jungle, mountains, rivers, and the ocean met, young Ly adored her family’s fruit trees and delighted in dining on the bounty of the sea. Her family still jokes that you can leave a suitcase full of money with Ly and you won’t find a dollar missing, but if you leave her unattended by a fruit tree it’s going to be picked clean.
Stylish option serving banh mi sandwiches, pho, noodles & meat dishes, plus smoothies & iced coffee.

Beyond the delicious dishes, the restaurant itself is a super nice place with a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while.
What truly elevated our visit, however, was the incredible hospitality. We received a wonderfully warm, humble welcome and greet by Mint (one of the staff members). Mint’s kindness and attentiveness set a perfect tone for the entire meal.
Highly recommend a visit to Em Vietnamese Bistro for a combination of fantastic food and genuinely exceptional service!
The service and vibe were great, though I wished the soup was hotter; it was kind of lukewarm, which was a bit disappointing. Still, I enjoyed the meal overall!
Unfortunately, we didn’t feel the same way. We just thought it to be average, maybe we came at an off time.
The food was fine, service was okay, place was clean and was super busy by the time we left.
Edited: second time here! Still love it
I ordered the Bún Bò Huế Đặc Biệt after our server, Mint, shared that it was her personal favorite. When I asked her to help me choose between the spring rolls and wings, she genuinely recommended the spring rolls, and I truly appreciated her honesty. Her warmth and attentiveness made the experience even better.
The food did not disappoint. The broth was incredibly rich and flavorful, with a generous variety of meats that added depth to every bite. The spring rolls were perfectly crispy and, just as promised, absolutely delicious.
Overall, Em Vietnamese Bistro was a wonderful experience, from the ambiance to the service to the food itself. I would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for comforting, high quality Vietnamese food.
