The deep dish Chicago style pizza is just amazing (and we’re had this same style pizza in Chicago, so we know) lots of cheese, great sauce and really good crust. We ordered two salads and they’re big enough we could have split one. The beer is cold, the service is great. Its a typical neighbor tavern with pool tables and counter seating bar plus tables.
And the locals are friendly.

Overall a nice bar. Food was okay. The buffalo cheese bread was like a deteoit style pizza but had great flavor. I got the meat lovers deep dish pizza as well. This had the thickest outer crust on a pizza I have ever seen. Similar to a pan crust pizza. There was a lot of cheese, but the meat was lacking. The sauce was really sweet and the under carriage was similar to a new tork style pizza. It was thin, but very strong. It held up all the toppings somehow. It was a unique pizza for sure.

Great place. The pizza is top notch! Sauce is sweet with some spice. The meats are delicious and cooked right. Enjoyed the classic beers. Super friendly people. Great place to watch the game.

I visited Meister’s Bar on 2/20/2026.
We visited Meister’s for two reasons, one I saw a video on Facebook saying that they had deep dish pizza.
Also we were going to
The New Edition Way concert the next night and we were looking for someplace close to
The Schottenstein Center.
We arrived around 4:30 PM and I believe the kitchen opened at
4 PM.
At the time they weren’t too awfully busy but it’s a small establishment and the seating is extremely limited.
We didn’t know where to order our food because you can’t see a kitchen area when you first walk in.(At least not from the entrance that we used)
My lady friend went and asked the bartender where we placed our food order and he got us all the way together.
While at the bar she order a
Titos and Red Bull with a splash
(or two) of cranberry and I ordered a Manhattan.
At the kitchen area we ordered an everything deep dish pizza and a garlic cheesy bread.
They gave us a pager to let you know when our order was ready.
While we waited on our food we enjoyed our drinks and listened to the songs being played on the jukebox.
My friend had credits from a previous time out on her TouchTunes app so I added a few joints to the playlist.
When the pager went off I moseyd on over and grabbed our two boxes.
At first glance I was instantly impressed with what I saw.
If you’ve ever read any of my previous reviews you’d know that I shoot straight from the hip and if you know anything about me in general you’d know that I’m very picky when it comes to my pizza.
The first bite was amazing.
Our only “complaint”
(for lack of a better word) would be that when I order an everything pizza I expected a decent amount of everything on it, which there wasn’t.
As the night went on Meister’s Bar continued to fill up and by the looks of things everyone was enjoying their food and drinks.
The bartender kept the drinks flowing and considering he was behind the counter by his lonesome, he was doing
one Hell of a job!
We didn’t have to wait too long for service at all and I’ve been to other establishments that had multiple bartenders and it took a forever to get a drink.
Overall I am extremely pleased with my experience at Meister’s Bar and it’s Monday 2/23/2026 and there’s one last piece of that delicious goodness left, just waiting to be devoured.
The ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️’s come from the limited seating and the lack there of, of toppings on the pizza but I’m definitely not disappointed at all and will absolutely return.
Keep up the good work
Meister’s Bar, I can’t wait to see y’all again.

Atmosphere is great, service great, not too too crowded. Dart board was a nice touch. Cooks said (Sat Nov 1) “only Pizza and garlic bread tonight” instead of full menu. Pizza was more like dough covered in soup. Impossible to eat without spilling everywhere. Pizza took 1.5hr to make. Garlic bread *was* very good. One meat lover’s and garlic bread was $43 before tip. Oof. Quite expensive. Probably recommend skip the pizza and do a garlic bread or another menu item if they offer it that might.

Meisers is a fantastic discovery! My wife attended Northwestern University and lived in North Chicago. This bar offers the best deep-dish Chicago-style pizza that she has had in the Columbus area. I know this might sound controversial, but she preferred the pizza here even more than that from Giordano’s in Chicago. The pizza was simply outstanding. We ordered the 16-inch size, the only option available, with pepperoni and mushrooms. There was enough pizza for four, possibly six people, especially if you also ordered the cheesy bread, which looked great, but we decided not to get it.

The bar has a neighborhood vibe reminiscent of places in New York. It has a humble appearance, with TVs everywhere, two pool tables, and even a dartboard. To place your order, you must go into the bar and turn left to find the counter right in front of the kitchen. The beer selection was impressive, featuring craft beers and classic options like Black Label and Old Style, all at reasonable prices. We visited on a Tuesday, so there were no servers; we ordered our drinks from the bar and food directly from the kitchen.

The tavern is secluded on a dimly lit road in Upper Arlington, not far from the OSU campus. It has a parking lot, which is convenient. While parking might be an issue on a Friday or Saturday night, plenty of spaces were available on Tuesday.

My wife has said this is a place she would return to.

The deep dish here is truly legendary. I was told by several friends that it was the best deep dish in the city. I was hopeful, but a bit skeptical. They were right. I didn’t think I could find a truly good Chicago style deep dish in Columbus, but Meister’s proved me wrong.

Second time here after a coworkers recommendation. I ordered a deep dish and the first pizza was great- which is unusual for me, because every time I tip before trying the food it is generally not worthy of one, and I am not a huge fan of deep dish. However, today, I figured I would try a sausage pizza. I am guessing the sausage is in the sauce; and if I have to guess, I would say, that is a problem. They are slightly heavy on the sauce so I asked the guy, can I have a little less than normal on sauce? I have a half sauce, half cheese pizza. It is my fault for not checking my pizza before leaving.. I am replaying the interaction in my mind to see how my ordering could have been misconstrued for half and half. Do not think I will be back. Absolutely perturbed.

It’s a bar. Not good for dates but good for drinking. Parking is tight. Deep dish pizza is more dough than pizza. It’s not really deep dish it’s Detroit style. A lot of dough.
