Stopped in going thru have seen them but never stopped glad we did great food. Cod was fresh breaded not frozen, steak tender. Gonna try the Cajun burger next.

Started off with a Long Island made perfectly not to much sweet and sour but also came out looking like a ice tea like it should paired with a miller lite and then Had a Cajun smash burger with a dirty martini and ended with a Mud slide, place was amazing food has always been great and the Bartender Aimee was amazing and I appreciate all the drinks she made thank you for such great service and I appreciate you.

It truly took 45 min to get our food, when it got to the table the fries were cold. I had to flag down my server to get new fries and by the time they got to the table our food was finished. We never got a any drink refills. Service sucks, food is mediocre. Go to flash backs or the ordinary for better everything.

The Coffman Review
For dinner on Thursday I consulted my list of Franklin Township restaurants I haven’t been to and picked out Murphy’s Pubhouse. They advertised a Bourbon Glazed Sirloin special on Facebook and figured that would be a good place to start.

Murphy’s has four locations around Indy. They have a business history dating back to the 1950s in Indianapolis and opened the southside pub in 2014. I know many Franklin Township residents are regulars at this Thompson Road location.

When we arrived I found the overall vibe to be similar to Flashbacks, but about half the physical size. They had an open dining room, a bar, and a small stage for live music performances. For sports fans there was a gigantic 12’ HD TV screen!

Our server, Kayla, greeted us and provided warm and friendly service throughout our visit. We ordered Fried Mushrooms as an appetizer but were informed they were out of them. So we pivoted to Fried Pickles instead.

I attempted to order the steak special I’d seen posted on their Facebook page that day but was told that it wasn’t the day’s special (the board had a Tzatziki Chicken Sandwich listed). When I asked for clarification and showed the post I was told that the kitchen and social media folks don’t communicate well. So be aware that advertised specials may not be accurate.

I also noted that the menu posted on their Facebook page was outdated and had incorrect pricing. Consult the menu pictures below for current pricing as of this posting.

We again pivoted to another special— a large ($23) Supreme Pizza for the price of a small ($18).

The Fried Pickles were awesome! They were big spears and had lots of crunchy breading. They almost looked like chicken fingers. An important fried pickle metric is how well the breading adheres to the pickle during a bite and I’m happy to report they passed the test. The sriracha ranch was good too.

The Supreme Pizza arrived overcooked with black edges on the crust and toppings. None of the toppings particularly stood out and I ranked it just north of a frozen Jack’s pizza. The discounted $18 price still felt like too much. Being completely transparent, tavern-style pizzas aren’t my favorite genre to begin with.

I want to again highlight Kayla as she was quick with our refills, kept our table tidy, and had an easygoing personality that made us feel welcome. We appreciated her approach to service.

It’s unfortunate my initial visit was plagued by miscommunication and dashed expectations, but I’ve heard they make a good Tenderloin and would be inclined to try that if I was to give it another go.

First time here, we had Lyndsey as our server. The menu had a lot of choices which made it hard to decide. I went with the Rueben, my wife the tenderloin. The food came out quickly, our server was super attentive and all around fantastic. The tenderloin, let’s say probably the best I’ve ever tried. If you are looking for one this is the place. The Rueben was good, everyone has different taste, the crispy buttery bread, the corn beef super tasty. I like a little more sauerkraut, but that’s not to take away from the taste. The onion Rings are incredible, I will say the onion in each one super tender. I look forward to another visit here.

I have been here a few times and have enjoyed it every time. This time I got the new York strip and it was cooked perfectly. The twice baked potatoes are very filling and so cheesy! Of course we had to have the onion rings because they are amazing here. It can be a bit loud as it is a pub so to be expected. The wait staff is on top of everything and very friendly. This will forever be a go to when I come to Indy

First time visit, overall the service wasn’t the greatest. I really enjoyed the Reuben Sandwich I had. The staff was nice, the waitress never asked us if we wanted a refill. The pricing is normal for bar food. I’m not sure if I’ll ever go back, but they do have a lot to choose from on the menu!

This hidden gem was amazing!

Fish N Chips was a mountain of amazing, and lightly breaded food.

My 1/2 lb burger was amazing as well.

While I did not get the steak, I saw one delivered to the next table over, and it was massive!
